And yes, the ~30 year old man who waited for 23 year old me and my sister to walk into the gas station after seeing her license plate to ask "what part of (not the state we were in) are you from?" 3 times before saying "I don't want anything from you, I just want to know what part of (state) you're from!" to which I responded, "and we're ignoring you!" was just trying to be friendly.

God, I ****ing hate when people use this phrase. I know none of these men were "just being friendly," they obviously wanted something from me. But, sure, fine. They're being friendly. Who cares?I'm uncomfortable! I do NOT want "friendly" men approaching me. Their desire for attention/conversation isn't more important than my desire to be left alone!.

The truth is in all of those examples she would have welcomed it if she found the guy attractive. You can't blame men for taking those chances. It's part of our culture for non chads to be ignored over and over and over again for the off chance they finally find a female that welcomes their attention.
