IME, women are mostly about status and how a guy makes them "feel". They're basically dating guys that other women want or that are well-regarded in society (i.e. wealthy, famous, funny, charismatic, etc.). Height/face are one form of "status" for a guy since being tall and handsome is almost universally regarded as being sexy/desirable as a male. Having those gives you an edge, but if you're a lame ass with no friends or personality, it won't save you either. I'm not tall (like 5'7) nor do I have a particularly handsome face, but I've done well with social circle game because I have a good personality and a six figure job. There's plenty of times I'm going to lose out to the 6 foot 3 jock because he's more attractive than me, but it's not as SOL as the misc thinks just because I'm a 5 looks-wise.
