How many of you look forward to xmas get together vs dred it

All my family are dead but when i was younger i always looked forward to it.

Christmas these days is more depressing than happy.

What are your views on it?

Personally... I don't really care about Christmas.

Don't get me wrong I love the aesthetics of Christmas; Christmas tree, lights and maybe some gifts. I put some nice white lights on my wall - looks very cozy.

So at the end of the day, I look forward to it because of the aesthetics during winter but nothing more. I generally dislike cold so the Christmas atmosphere gives some warmth to it.
Summer crew checking in.

My view is that you're an ungrateful and selfish addict who only views family as those who directly enable you. You have a son, get it together.

Even if my family was all gone I'd enjoy Christmas. I know because the general scenery music and cheer give me good feels.

I enjoy it less now in this hyper political world though.

Love the family and friends but of Christmas, hate gift exchanging. Nobody really cares about gifts after like age 15 so I don't know why grown ass adults still exchange gifts. Get something for the kids in your family and call it that. It's a lot of unnecessary stress trying to figure out what to get everyone and how much to spend.

the adults on my side of the family stopped giving gifts a while ago, and thank god cuz my sibling would give the worst gifts. I don't really care about it, but my kids look forward to opening gifts so that's fun.

I don't have much family left and my parents are getting older so I tend to appreciate it a lot more these days.
