Friend tested positive COVID like 12 days ago - no symptoms, can I party with him?

So my friend arranging a small party tomorrow.

Thing is, one of his roommates that is joining had COVID positive 12 days ago, but says he had no symptoms just loss of smell/taste and apparently he was told if he has no other symptoms like fever during 10 days since test, he can be around others with no issue?

Should I join the party or is it still not that safe after 12 days? I told him why he doesn't do test again, but says he doesn't need it as he feels just fine.

Thing is when my friends get drunk they get too close and loud, so I don't want spending my new years being sick & isolated myself.

Not saying you'll die if you get it, but partying with someone who's positive for covid just seems like a dumb idea. Even if your friend doesn't care, out of respective for his guests he should tell his roommate to not be home or at least stay in his room.

Yeah, apparently the NHS told him on the phone that he should be fine as he didn't have any symptoms during 10 days of isolation since the test and he doesn't need to be retested. Not sure how much of this is true though lol.

May just stay at home and play cyberpunk, srs.

if you can't catch covid from eating someone's load then you'll be fine, OP.

"No symptoms"
"Just loss of taste and smell"

So you say he has no symptoms, then write a symptom. Looks like you lack common sense and will go.

The fact that parties are still being held in the UK, and that people attend them, has told me so much about my ex-countrymen and why I don't belong there.

You're all whining and bitching about COVID restrictions, then break them, making the situation worse and then more restrictions have to be placed.

The nature of COVID means that just because he lost taste and smell and has no other symptoms, you could still get a swollen heart or severe lung damage. Yes, odds are you won't die but either of those would really suck long term. Would it be worth it?

Lmao at being 20 and scared of your Covid friend. You could make out with him and nothing would happen. Just don’t go around old people or cancer patients. Go around obese people though because we need to decrease the population in that department.

Has he been tested again? I have a friend whose wife had it and tested positive after several weeks. If he has tested negative then no worries. 10 days is supposed to be okay with negative test.

Lol at anyone getting tested over the Shanghai Sniffles.
