So you are taking nothing to help your testosterone stay up for medical purposes only due to age?

Mirin either way. I strongly do believe men in their 50s and 60s can have really good physiques but it takes discipline, diet and you have to have trained most of your life. I see lots of calisthenics dudes on youtube in their 50s 60s and even 70s with ripped physiques albeit not really huge in terms of muscle mass, but again. They only do calisthenics

Nice work man!!

I'm 51 and natty myself. It's extremely tough to stay in condition at our age without gear. You really have to have everything on point, good dedication and focus.

Well done

Right pic is aesthetic as fuk, even (much) more for a 51 year old. Sure you're not on anything op? Don't fuk with this... i'm serious.

In terms of macros, where do you fall? Carbs/fats, protein. Give an example of what you eat in a day, please.

LOL at posters saying OP looks great "for 51"

He looks great period. You can tell he puts in the work and has a balanced physique but lets not kid ourselves, dude also has great genetics to be able to hold that balance of size and condition. Congrats OP.

Great job. I'm 52 and I'm on TRT. Funny thing is, alot of dudes equate it to doing gear but if you are doing it legit, you're just getting your levels into the normal range for males so you don't feel like crap all the time.

I've never done just calisthenics, and I'm not great at that stuff tbh. But the gym closures had me in my garage with a few dumbbells so the workout became a pushup, chin-up, dip marathon, but also with renegade rows and trying to progress pistols, 8 count bodybuilders, that kind of stuff. I was kinda surprised at the how well it worked physique wise. But now I've gone back to more standard lifting at the gym.

Hairline's tour is well and truly over. Net worth starting to look juicy though.

I'm serious about natty, but no hate or judgement for the sceptics. Honestly I don't think I even carry that much muscle, but lower body fat creates that illusion.

I've never measured or counted any calories or macros or anything like that. But 18 months ago I was persuaded to reduce carbs a bit and make sure there is plenty of protein with EVERY meal and that has really made positive stuff happen to my body.

Typical day:
Lift or run from 5:30am to 7am
Breakfast = protein shake then 4 fried eggs with small amount of toast
Lunch = one of those premade bodybuilder meals (My Muscle Chef is the brand I use) with 50ish grams of protein. Maybe add another egg (hardboiled) to it.
Dinner = some snacking on random **** while cooking, then something like salmon, vegetables, rice

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

For anyone interested, I first went to a gym in 1987 and was instantly hooked. In my late teens and early 20s all I cared about was dreamer bulking and benching and squatting heavy. I've been going to the gym ever since but my focus and priorities have changed. In my 30s and 40s I was into running and in my 40s I got hardcore into marathon and ultra marathon running until injuries stopped me doing that a few years back. That got me back into the weights but training a lot smarter and learning more about the role of diet. Then this year I started the running comeback.

My training and diet philosophies are basically the opposite of the dogma preached by the idealogues on the non-misc part of this forum.

Eg I'm a strong believer recomping and think bulking and cutting is only for people who are really scrawny or really overweight, and bulk/cut cycles are a joke unless you are like a professional bodybuilding competitor.

I think fasted training works big time. Not in the short term, but long term your body gains great control over your metabolism/insulin/appetite/energy levels, which translates to staying lean.

Everyone is different but for my muscles to grow I need volume and intensity. Lots of sets, high reps, drop sets, supersets etc.

I think the "big/shredded/natty: pick two" thing is the truth, but unlike most I recommend the 2nd 2 if you want to look jacked to ordinary civilians.

OP's a 51-year-old natty white man that's completely mogging elite-tier athletes Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr, both of whom are surely on TRT and/or HGH and were recently training intensively for their boxing match, yet didn't manage to drop anywhere close to sub-15%.

Both.

I believe in squats and deadlifts, but have struggled with them in recent years due to back/glute/hamstring issues.

I also believe in drop sets of machine preacher curls until my biceps are screaming in pain, alternated with drop sets of rope pushdowns until my triceps are ready to burst through the skin.

I also like "functional" crossfitty type things like walking lunges with one kettlebell held overhead.

But I wouldn't think I'd know anything special about training programs, or even that it matters much. As long as you aren't doing some really low volume thing, and as long you just keep showing up and keep doing it, that's the most important thing by far.
