Female friends who go NC when you’re in a relationship?

One female friend I’m pretty close to in particular. I was dating someone early this year, she went a bit distant but still talked to me. Now I’m back in a relationship, she pretty much nc’ed me a bit over a week ago. Good chance I’ll see her on NYE so could be awkward.

I’m not an idiot, I know why she went nc. Should I just leave her be and let her get back in touch when she wants to, or put any effort in myself? She’s a cool girl who I like talking to but she’s not my type physically.

Just let her be. If she’s only in your life because she wants more than friendship it’s not going to last anyway. You could throw out a “Hey, haven’t heard from you in a minute just checking in and wishing you well” text but the end result will be the same no matter what. Good on your for actually caring though.
