The #1 thing you should NEVER give your child is full access to the internet.

100% srs don't do it. Im seeing too many kids looking at fukked chit on the web, and young adults with fukked minds due to the stuff they consumed on the internet during their child/teen years.

If you want to let the kid surf the internet:
- Set parental controls to block obvious 18+ sites.
- Block ALL social media.
- Set DuckDuckGo as the primary browser. Google does sus chit.
- Supervise the kid's search history

I hate the idea of being the over-protective parent who tried to control everything their kid does, but I think that's the only option. Porn is just so easy to find and will definitely screw up kids.

i didn't get my own laptop and cellphone till i was 16. i had to share a desktop with dial-up internet in the living room with 3 siblings.

you are oldcel like me, we did not have internet until i was 15 and even that was dialup. i had only seen random playboy style magazines before that which are extremely tame compared to internet porn. I cannot really relate to these kids seeing all this chit before puberty, it has to really fuk them up.
