Stop alts making new threads

so fukkin simple. Last night entire first page was a mess of alts making repetitive troll threads. Sandman, carsalesman, mc, could well all be the same fukkin person, f it up for everyone.
Do the mods enjoy the extra work or something?? ONE LINE OF CODE FFS, 100 post minimum before you can make a thread, WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT

Agreed fk them hoes
brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.

No “vax” for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a “vax” is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it ….

Until the forum admin implements a rule that it requires 50-100 posts before a thread can be made, then this bs will always continue on this forum.
These trolls been at it for years. either legit mentally ill or just trolling without a life.

This forum is going downhill hard. Every time i check it, the front page is nothing but alts and *******s whining.
Either about being an incel or some other chit.
All normal people left. Only a few boomers remained.

That’s a cool rule but if you implement it then they’re just gonna post random chit on 50-100 posts for no reason prior to making their own, then you’re gonna have a load of chit in everyone’s posts for no reason. They can’t be stopped. They’re taking over.

So far........

The only way to get rid of alts is for us to make better threads.

Or 1 month old acc and 50 posts min. That should make it more difficult.

I've always advocated for this place to make minimums for post counts and account join dates as requirements for an account being able to post threads. 50 post minimum, and account should have a join date of 3 months+ or older.

The only arguement I've ever heard against it is that such requirements to gain the ability to post new threads might deter some potential new people from participating on the board, as they might want to start off by posting a new thread or three right away. The idea is that allowing them almost full priveldges of the board right off the bat might encourage them to stick around as long-timer miscers. I honestly don't think that has almost any impact on whether or not someone new decides to stick around, though. Especially these days when we probably get less than 10 new legitimate regulars on the misc per year, and probably less than half of those hang around for 5+ years. If they really wanted to be here, they wouldn't be scared off by some very basic post/join date requirements that would drastically minimize the alt troll account bs.

In any case, this has all been talked about countless times here. It's never going to change. The only thing we can really do about it is for us regular users to flat out ignore trolls. Don't acknwledge the troll posts, whether they are their own troll threads, or just posts in threads they try to ruin with their bs. Definitely don't make threads dedicated to bitching about them like this one, as it just validates that they are accomplishing what they want in rustling random strangers online.

Internet trolls are like spiders. They're ugly as hell, and they don't stick around if their food source is cut off (the same way you won't find many spiders in clean, bug free homes). Except spiders serve an actual purpose outside of homes, whereas internet trolls serve no utility beyond chit posting online. Starve them out, and they'll go away and look elsewhere to get their fix.

Honestly, I don’t think they would, because it doesn’t get the same attention as a banner on the front page.

Look at Mattchav, who has made the same thread several thousand times. Why? Because it gets him on as many pages as possible so you can’t escape it. If it was just one thread he could bump it every day but no one would reply after a while

I suspect they will start deleting posts pointing this out soon. Advertisers are not stupid and they have bot-detecting apps. The more it is talked on forums the easier it'll take for them to realize BB.com is frauding.

Noone buys their supps anymore, noone would pay to see thieir random lifting programs since they began monetising it so they only make money through these stupid ads for morons who still didnt download an adblocker.

That's interesting actually I guess I hadn't thought about it in too much depth, but you're definitely right on.

I just threw out a wild conspiracy, I don't actually know if that's true obv-- it just seems crazy to me that someone would really take the time to troll that hard every single day.

Anyway, for what it's worth, it seems crazy to me that there is a 50 post minimum to post pics but not to start an unlimited number of threads.

Wood support the samsbolton-proposed legislation.

How does mattchav have so many reps? It confuses me.

However I do agree with this and a few other things on misc. there’s some legit people that make an account to post one thread, get some good advice then continued posting, if someone wants to ask a question they’re not going to comment 50 times before having to do that so it would potentially stop new miscers from joining. It’s hard trying to come up with a permanent solution for it.

Some trolls on here legit sound like bots who keep posting same 5-10 chit/ topic/ theme/ phrase over and over (car salesman, bolobrah etc), and if the posts get too complicated actual people behind the bot might take over. You'd even think they are programmed by some PR company who sells forum bots to dying forums like this. Or any website in that regard.

Doesn't really sound that crazy or like some 'conspiracy'. Actually a good business idea. There are already tons of bots on social media so why wouldn't they implement the same on forums/ websites etc.

I don’t know about how to stop the other 2, but sandman is seriously mentally ill about his ex gf and shows up like clockwork every single day 5-6 pm est which is when the Australian business day should be starting. He seriously seems deranged and has no friends or family that want to hear it, and is just a mentally ill loser who fks whores to cope, and wants to use this forum as an escape.

If everybody would just post nothing but an Indian recipe that would force him to leave. His alt is not hard to spot. Always describes an ex with daddy issues, slept with50+ guys, and g strings on instagram in his very first post of whatever thread he starts.

I don’t understand why after a whole year of this people still can’t recognize it. Even a “fk off sandman” is useless. That’s way too short and doesn’t clutter up his threads enough where he’s hoping for a response that he can talk to. Just clutter his threads up with long drawn out nonsense where he’s hoping to see a serious response that he can reply to only to be disappointed that it’s just 15 straight Indian recipes, or the longest joke in the world, or something long that doesn’t even remotely relate to an ex or his question.

Not enough people are aware of sandman. I think there’s only like 3-4 of us that post recipes on his threads. He stopped posting in the relationship section because there’s only a select few that are active on there often so it’s spotted and ended pretty quick.

That's an ignorant and grandiose statement to make since I'm assuming you've never seen any of their inside sales data or traffic data or anything at all related to the working of this site beyond viewing the webpage?

This is exactly why its good that unsuccessful people don't get to be in charge of stuff. If samsbolton was in charge of the misc this place would dwindle down to 7 golf nerds rep trading with each other.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.

That's a bullchit response from a simple mind. Why do you assume everyone wants to make threads? I assure you they don't.

50 posts is not a lot to make either. It's just a few trolls like you, obsessed with making threads and being a retard you assume everyone has the same obsession with making threads.

Make it 25 posts? The deranged retards can't even control themselves for that long.
