Google and YouTube searches are becoming useless

Lately I’ve noticed that if I try to search lyrics on Google, instead of pulling up the song I want like it used to, now Google shows me the most unrelated chit that is slightly relevant to a keyword. For example, if a lyric includes the word “apple” the results will disregard everything else in my search terms and show me iPhone reviews and the Apple homepage. WTF?

YouTube is even worse. These days they only seem to show search results for the most popular corporate channels. Sometimes my unrelated “recommended” videos show up in search results for no reason.

However they changed their algorithm, it is ruining the internet, which is becoming less of an outlet for free information and more of one for controlled information.

I don't like searching for stuff on Google anymore because it's all SJW approved results. Can't find criticism about stuff anymore (unless you search for Trump then criticism is the only thing allowed)

Yeah, youtube for example only directs to you approved "news" sources. Unless you search for specific names you won't find "alternate" news suggestions.

Google used to be so powerful. If you thought of it, it would find it. Now its a far left SJW shell of what it once was. I have DuckDuckGo as my primary search engine but even with that Ife had to find myself using Google. If more and more of us make the switch from Google and Youtube, we may see a rebirth of what they used to be.

I never had a problem searching for songs/videos with lyrics on YouTube. I do it all the time.

I filter by upload date if it’s new enough
Top Rated and Relevant won’t give you what you’re looking for

Results are only mainstream sources. Like how the CEO YouTube said they know people don't want to see videos from CNBC, CNN, Fox, ABC but are being forced to display those sources

Same thing on Google. It's really only superior for basic chit math chit, and more detailed stock information if you want a quick snapshot without going on a terminal or yahoo finance

Phase 1 is make it so searching doesn't find the videos.
Phase 2 is to later remove the videos.

Youtube recently made a policy change that videos of inactive accounts will be removed. I don't think they define inactive, so its whenever they want.
