You might be one of the white spanish then, i know theres some blonde and red headed people there but it is not the norm anmore, common yes, but not the majority.

We have a large group of syrian, lebanese and other arabs living in Mexico, mostly jew and christian refugees.

They have a heavy white+arabic mix and end up looking like your typical moor blooded spanish. White guy, heavy beard, black straight hair, mostly black eyed but some with hazel eyes, etc

I know this is a very sensible topic as iberian people got their bloodlines tainted by the occupation, something that didnt happen in France or Belgium or Denmark, etc

I have black hair brown eyes and light skin. Its not just the coloring. Arabs have way different facial features. Yea we got some resemblance to Arabs but ultimately we look like are own group of people.

And btw being blonde doesnt exclude someone from having Berber blood. They can still have Berber blood and be blonde. Just the blonde gene dominated in that persons case or maybe even the persons Berber ancestor was blonde. Blonde Berbers are rare but they exist.

I'm no expert but this doesn't seem to be the case. Intermarriage was uncommon and according to the latest genetic studies there's not much moor blood left, and less the more to the north you go.

The average Berber/Arab dna in southern Spain and Canary Islands ranges from 4-20% according to studies. Is still something but not significantly much to make u Arab

My ancestors were from the northwest coast and mountains of Spain and their living descendants all have a mix of black, brown, red, dirty blonde hair, some are olive skinned, others more fair and freckled, eyes range from dark brown to hazel. Grandparents' genealogy tests revealed roots in eastern europe, british isles, and the part of Spain they were born, where they couldn't trace further back after that so they were just mountain dwellers for centuries I'm guessing.

I have known blonde people from Spain who have zero "Latin features" and that's because Spain is by France. So, by France you have French type people. The same goes for Northern Italy. I have seen people who look Irish and German from there, because that's the kind they are.

Lots of mixed people came to the US because life wasn't good in their home country.

The only people who would spot it are people from Quebec, but you can write it off by saying your from some remote area of norther quebec. I don't know how it would work in the US considering theres so many diff spanish accents (id assume so?) My mexican ex's mom sounded totally different than the peruvian mom's accent.
