As men and women get older men that are attractive, successful, stable, and "good guys" naturally end up settled down with women that are attractive partners and mates (physically attractive, mentally stable, good genetics, etc.). Women that are trainwrecks/unsuitable for marriage, but attractive and over the age of 24 find themselves with a progressively declining pool of men. The shortage is exacerbated as men their age pursue women years younger than them.

Women then find themselves with a pool of available men that if they are attractive, have some sort of flaw. They're either players, abusive, lifetime losers, financial disasters, criminal history, etc.

Therefore, women as they enter their 30's etc., find that if they're exclusively dating men that they find physically attractive, that there is a fairly likelihood that their "bad boy" has fatal flaws.

You can be slightly thicc, you can be slim and skinny, you can be whatever. If you are attractive, you are attractive. I am sure it is the same with women.
I think the key to success is simple. Confidence is the key, whether your game is being a 'bad boy', suit type or skinny model/hipster kid.
Everyone has their own type/types, anyone can be rejected but if we are generalising, confidence can get you far. Being direct, maintaining eye contact, tone of your voice and just being forward. Women absolutely love that. You are a male after all, you have to be dominant and women love that. But you also have to be fun, playful and flirty, you can't be stiff.
OP isn't wrong, women like bad boy types because they are confident, not needy and probably good looking too. But the older you get, less you will find that to be attractive, or if you come across a girl/women who has class and taste. Women like that don't go for childish 'bad boy' look. Working in fine suiting when I was younger, and being European, I have developed great taste and class over the years. Women (not young girls) love daddy type men, the Harvey Specter types. And it doesn't necessarily mean you have to be some hot shot lawyer, you just have to look the part. Wearing nice clothes, being educated and confident can get you a lot further than being a bad boy and getting laid once in a while.
