Home Gym Carpet Question (Home gym brahs get in here)

I've got a power rack and bench in my home gym located in my basement. There's concrete, then padding, then berber carpet so its not all that squishy. That being said, the bench that fits in my power rack is old and starting to become unstable. It's like a core workout to keep it balanced while benching. I'm wanting to get a new bench but am unsure if something like this would be stable on my carpet situation.

Worried the feet aren't wide enough, but wide feet wont' fit in my squat rack. Thoughts?

tl;dr Need new bench. Unsure if instability issue is caused by my current old set up or carpet the bench sits on.

My gym is sitting on carpet. I put plywood and horse stall mats down. Problem solved, though I am making a garage gym later this year.

And buy that bench. It looks awesome.

Thanks. Check the link I posted very high ratings on their stuff. Waiting to see when the adjustable benches will be back in stock.

I'm assuming you put the plywood on top of the carpet and then the horse stall mats on top of that?

That’s it. Have had it down for over 1.5 years. Works fine, but I’m not gonna lie, concrete underneath would be better. I don’t train conventional deadlift. Squatting can look slightly squishy when I record, but I don’t notice it when I’m performing the movement, especially if I’m wearing powerlifts. Have squatted 400+ many times on this. Guess I should mention my gym is in my loft.

I’m well aware of rep fitness. Great company. Considering their power rack and benches when I upgrade this year or next.

Right on. I'm no where near that weight so not concerned with that. I'd love to just rip out the carpet and have bare concrete but just had the whole basement re-carpeted after flood damage less than a year ago and the Mrs. would not be too happy.

I appreciate your input bud. Thanks.
