What do you think of this garage gym set up? (80k reps)

Here's the order list:

power rack:
https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p...thspwrrck50gmu

barbell/weights:
https://www.roguefitness.com/bravo-bar-bumper-set

bench:
https://www.repfitness.com/strength-...es/rep-ab-5000

Will I need a platform for the garage floor since it might not be level? It didn't seem like it was sloped from a quick look. Or at the least add some flooring?

Possibly add powerblocks that extend to 90 lbs if home gym becomes the move.

What other items/considerations am I missing? If gyms were open I wouldn't have bothered but lockdowns now extended 2 more weeks and by then it will probably keep getting extended.

Not hijacking, but here is mine for reference. It slopes slightly down from left to right (as in, it slopes from the back wall out the big garage door). I just left as is because it's not drastic enough. Weights roll some, but it's fine.

Yeah get some plywood and maybe some rubber stall mats for your floor (for deadlifts). A layer of two of plywood at the least, no need to risk cracking your floor or weights. Again, for deadlifts.

If you're doing oly style lifts like cleans and dropping, you need a proper platform
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

FWIW, most people don't really notice the slope when lifting. If you're really worried about it you can build a lifting platform with leveling feet, or shim it as you see fit

All of that equipment looks g2g. I'm not familiar with Ethos racks but just make sure they don't have some kind of weird proprietary hole sizes, or other quirky things that make it incompatible with other brands and attachments (Titan, Rogue, Rep, etc)
It sounded like in the reviews that different brand stuff worked in the rack but that’s a good call out.

I’ll have to figure out if the sloping will be okay.

Looks good brah. Definitely gonna need more than 230lbs + whatever the bar weighs. Bench looks solid.

Depends on how severe the slope is. My garage probably isn’t flush, but I’ve never had problems in there.

Pay the extra for a rogue or rep fitness rack. It’s the center piece of every gym. Buy once cry once. See sig for credentials.

Yeah give or take. I collect vintage iron, so some cost me a lot (like the Soviet barbell) while others I got for an absolute steal (like my Zuver's plates which alone would sell on eBay for over $10k at this point).

If you can find an iron master super Bench pro go with that. The attachments really make it a very versatile piece of gym equipment

Upper/lower routine based around squats/bench/ohp/weighted pull-ups/dips

With a dip station I think it’s mostly covered, and more equipment after that can be slowly picked up for accessories like the powerblocks

Garage floors are almost all sloped to promote drainage. If yours isn't sloped you likely live in a cheap house

Still didn't mention your budget m8. If that's all you want to do then a good 3x3 11 gauge steel power rack (TitanFitness X3) , a decent barbell (Rogue Ohio Bar), some bumpers (Black bumpers Rep fitness), and an adjustable bench (Rep fitness AB-3100 or AB-5000-5200) would work. Total cost will be about $2000. Titan Fitness has tons of attachments you can add to the rack at low prices. You could get a set of 5-50 dumbbell for isolation work for around $800 or a adjustable dumbell like Nuobell that goes from around 10-80 for the same price.

Looks like a good set-up. I used to work out in my parents garage on a slightly sloping ground. Not enough for barbells to roll though, only a few degrees.

Pull-up bars are great if you don't mind desecrating your garage wall with numerous drill holes. I can't access the link for the power rack, so can't see if it's got pull-up bars.

A good rubber mat is essential. Dip bars are good, although can be pricey given you can only do one exercise on them. I have just over 180kg worth of iron weights at home. But that's enough for me, given that I don't really lift heavy right now.

Only have to nudge it aside with my shoulder when grabbing the 60s off the rack. Other than that, not in the way of anything.
