It was a complete team failure but considering how Kyle has been coaching in these playoffs this game was very weird.
But end of the day I don't think on offense their issue was so much Kyle's playcalling in the 4th or Jimmy's play...it was Chris Jones being a fuking terror knocking passes down.
He had 3 batted passes in the 4th quarter. Totally different ball game if any of those get through.

Kyle is part of terrible history. He was apart of blowing a 28-3 lead and now blew a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter. He mentioned how he learned from the previous SB experience, but it didn't show here. I get it's a team loss, but not blaming Kyle is a mistake.

There were several things in this game which cost the 49ers a win. I didn't like Kyle going conservative to end the first half only to move away from the run game when they were up 20 to 10 but I also think the Chiefs simply made a lot of key plays late in that game that there wasn't much the 49ers could do about it but second guess what happened.
Jimmy is a young QB experience wise and Kyle is a young HC. I'll see how they recover from this.

49ers didn't want to push the ball down the field at the end of the first half because they knew it wasn't what Jimmy could do / was comfortable with. Come 4th quarter, they decided to put the ball in Jimmy's arm which was on Kyle and what I think ultimately lost them the game. Had they kept true to their identity (running the ball) they would have won the game.
KC's defense made plays in the 4th quarter, but when you run the same play action pass that gets batted at the line every time, you need to do something else. After the game, one of the KC defenders even mentioned how the 49ers were averaging "like 10 yards a carry."
All that being said, Jimmy did choke big time in the 4th quarter. Throwing ducks and playing very poorly. I know he's young, but that isn't the performance of a great QB.
Everything rises and falls on leadership and I think Kyle dropped the ball. Like you said, hopefully he can bounce back and be contenders next season.

If Jimmy G was good, he would have won the game for his team like Mahomes did for his.
Mahomes = Brady
Jimmy G = Aaron Rodgers
Mahomes = Brady
Jimmy G = Aaron Rodgers

All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

Peak Super Bowl win probabilities of 95.3% (Sunday) and 99.6% (28-3). He is a great coach and the defenses collapsed in both games, but that is definitely not a good look.

Strong thread.
He turned rg3 into a star and took the Failcons to the SB.
I thought Shanahan was bout to rule the NFL until he gave Garropolo a bag and choked yet another SB.
