Pretty sure UTC was invented so there is a reference time which doesn't change. Its used all the time in official applications

Yeah there was, it was GMT. GMT doesn't change. BST is different. UTC could just be referred to as GMT, it's totally pointless. I'm not worked up I'm just informing you.

as far as I'm aware BST isn't an official time. GMT+1 is how it's actually described/written, which is the reason UTC is UTC - to differentiate itself from GMT+1 in the months that takes place

There are effective vaccines on the horizon and people are selling? Lmao buy the dip as it will probably be the last one in regards to lockdowns. Israel is already showing lower transmission rates and that the vaccines do work considering they have the highest % of vaccinated population in the world.

unless you're investing chump change, a 3% dip is quite considerable

National express for example dropped that much then gained 4% over the previous close.

with 10k, thats a £700 profit in about 20min assuming you had an order already placed with take profit

i didn't specify any particular shares in the op, although travel/tourism shares were assumed because they'd always be the worst hit

I'm not much of an investor, but I'd reckon the best bet would be to diversify your portfolio as it seems volatile af atm.

Split between stocks/shares in US tech companies, cryptos, gold/silver + property (there will be a ton of houses this year selling for peanuts when everyone starts getting laid off)
