AMC CEO on CNBC. Just said the cursed phrase "We need to raise more money"
While he's talking they have the tickers for AMC, Cinemark, and IMAX up. 2 were bright green and another deep red... who want's to guess which is which?

New Year's Resolution to read and contribute in this thread in 2021. I'm an investment manager at an RIA but will only discuss my own personal trades in my "play" account. I've been in the SPAC thread a bit as I own PSTH, but also in GRWG(biggest holding thanks to 10x in 2020), DIS, RKT, SPCE, XOM, and PLTR. Looking forward to learning from you all and getting that bag in 2021.

SKLZ continuing to get bought up in after hours trading even though it was already up 21%. The Cathie Wood effect. Too bad I trimmed my position a bit yesterday at $19+ because I thought we'd continue to sell off until the Georgia results come out.

Spoiler!

-I have TSLA $800CC's 1/29.
-I don't want to get them exercised because my cost basis is so low, I would get REKT on taxes
-Icouldroll them up and out, but instead I am going full degen...
-TSLA $800CSP 1/29 (premium was $91)

Thought process is that if it goes over $800 and I avoid exercising the CC, The premium from the CSP will offset my loss to buy it out by A LOT.
Now, if it stays under $800, I run the risk of assignment on the CSPbutunless it closes below $710, I can BTC at a profit, or take the assignment at a big phat discount and immediately sell ATM calls for bank.

DISCLAIMER: I have only done this twice, but neither time did I ride them out until the end. Instead I ended up in the green on both positions so just closed out to be safe. I do NOT ADVISE ANYONE ELSE TO DO THIS.

no. Options are only available during hours, which is bull chit because they can still move AH. Example, I had a CSP that on the day of expiration, and final bell was just barely OTM. After hours it started creeping down to ITM and I was sweating bullets because I COULD HAVE closed it out before the bell for like 95% profit, but got greedy, and almost saw it slip away lol.

Technically you can trade SPY (and some other tickers) options until 4:15 PM ET but the liquidity and spread suck.

Any thoughts on Coinbase and Roblox IPO? Bought FCEL when it crashed to $7. Noticed that if a ticker has an extreme sell off it usually bounces if it's a decent company. Thinking about going long on PINS.

Lmao Bumble planning to IPO. If there's an OnlyFans IPO all in bois.

Stock went down post earnings :\ But according to Bezos, they spent a lot of dough to help with covid.
So if this time around, he might say those planes were a huge part of their expenses and investors will have to take a seat and be patient like amazon said last time.

Not this coming earnings, but Q1, yes. After Q1202 Bezos said they would be dumping all projected profits from Q2 into covid precautions. Probably saved them money from not having to worry about shutting down.

But how will this plane purchase be viewed? It will be a capital expense, IE an expense that improves/increases the value of the company, and will have different impacts on their budget and bottom lines. It will be something that will save them tremendously in thefuture. But remember, the market if forward (future) looking soooooooo.

agreed. on a side note , since the tattoo thread died out a while back, you collect any new tattoos. My girl is taking a seminar with Thomas Carli Jarlier so she can get better at tattooing from a master. Hopefully he will accept an idea from me and my azz is flying to france to get tattooed.

I am waiting for Roblox, think they will print. But am afraid us regulars will get priced out.

https://venturebeat.com/2020/07/28/r...ers-this-year/

The San Mateo, California-based Roblox has more than 150 million monthly active users. When those users spend virtual currency, dubbed Robux, in a game that one of its user-developers has made, Roblox shares some of the proceeds (70%) with them. On top of that, this spring Roblox introduced a way for developers to make money based on how much time premium subscribers spend in a game.

For comparison Unity (U) had 53% revenue growth last year it was valued at $30B.

IPO was $52 (25 million shares)

Unity is now trading at $150 with market cap of $40 billion.

Now compare that to Roblox.

q3 revenue growth last year up 91% they were valued at $40 billion last year.

income statements looks solid

revenue growth looks good.

https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/d.../d87104ds1.htm

That being said even if it gets priced out I have feeling wsb and robinhooders will pump the shiit out of it.

So gonna join call options if ipo price ends up going double before listing.

...........

Coinbase no idea.

Will have to do some research

Amazon air / own delivery service is going to take many years to reach ups/fedex/dhl level.

UPS fleet 288 planes

Fedex fleet 281

DHL fleet 185

Amazon fleet 78

For them to scale up it going to be very expensive.

Usually freight companies just buy up old passenger planes. Like Amazon buying 767 from Delta and Westjet.

Which will just add to maintenance cost.

They are buying the bottom barrel cheapest planes.

The average age of Lufthansa AG’s cargo fleet is about 11 years. UPS averages about 20 years and FedEx about 23 years. In comparison, Amazon currently operates 68 jets in the U.S. with an average age of just over 26 years, according to IBA. That’s about as long as the company’s been around. Its oldest plane is 37 years old.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...harder-to-keep

Bezos is hell bent to control everything but their fake chinese knockoffs on the amazon store.

I'm trying to think if I got anything that I haven't posted in that thread! Here's what I have in order of work done:

Noah Minuskin - Poseidon battling octopus statue style half sleeve
Matt Jordon - pug portrait on right pec
Q - maltese portrait on right inner bicep
Steve Wimmer - Poseidon potrait statue style adding to Noah sleeve
Levgen - Custom design on right calf (only color piece so far, if he is able to make it to the states this year, he is going to do the rest of the bottom of my leg)
Steve Wimmer - Undine Rising statue added to the water statue sleeve
Steve Wimmer - Frenchie portrait on left pec, and free handed some stuff to tie his piece in with MJ's piece

That's fukkin rad your chick doing a seminar with him!!! Love his work!

I was really hoping to fly to AD Pancho for my birthday in a couple months, but travel is so fukked, who knows if it would even be able to happen. I'm already on the approved waitlist, but like I said, who knows if we will be able to travel. I'm saving my entire right arm (minus the inner bicep) for him to have pretty much free reign on.

50% percent count in.

so far both leaning to dems.

I don't think its priced in fully if dems have control of senate.

imo corporate tax hikes will happen next year if they have senate control tmmrw.

it would be suicide for economy to do corporate tax hikes this year.

futures are gonna be interesting over night.

its when they stop things could fall apart.

2 scenarios for market.

1. biden said if they win both georgia seats. $2000 stimulus check no other bs attached will get passed.

market could go up.

2. on other hand if rep have control of senate

market be like nothing will get passed time to rip.

Chino do you typically do weekly CCs?

I'm looking at premiums for PLTR on 1/15 and they're pretty nice for such a short term gain. I have 1100 shares now @ $27.5 cost basis, and was looking at a $27.5 strike price with $.47 premium. That would net me $517 in premium + $3850 in share gains. Not bad for less than 2 weeks even if it doesn't hit strike.

Another question I had moreso about strategy - I think I understand pretty well now, the idea behind CCs is to never let it get ITM - just buy to close once it nears strike price, but depending upon how much far out you close relative to expiration, you'll end up losing premium (unless it's hitting strike price literally the day before expiration, you'd keep nearly all your premium). Is that right?
