Isn't that now a short barrel rifle requiring a special ATF stamp? Can't recall the min barrel length to be considered a rifle.

Under 16in, but this isn't a rifle, it's a pistol with a pistol brace

Looks nice OP, you gonna get a suppressor for it?

Yep, starting the process soon.

Not if you put a brace on it . If you want a stock, you gotta stamp it. And if the over all length of the gun is less than 26 inches , you can’t use a vertical grip.

Das it mane. Whenever you can, you should upgrade your brace to the SBA4. The LOP adjustability & mil-spec buffer tube is very much worth it.

Chamber/caliber have nothing to do with the definition.
Here in the states, in most states, a pistol is defined through a combination of overall length and features.
In my state a pistol is anything under 16" in length, having a pistol grip, but no buttstock.
If it were under 16", had a pistol grip, and a buttstock it would be considered a short-barrel rifle (SBR) and would fall under NFA.

What you mean real AR? You mean 556/223? This is chambered in 556/223. It’s way lighter than my 16 inch AR. Better for home defense

11.5 ARs range from $700-$1800 depending on brand (aero, BCA, BCM, Daniel Defense Etc) I overpaid on some parts because with COVID and elections a lot of stuff is hard to find. But I would say mine is around $1100 pre Rona. I have a good solid build . Nothing special.
