I'm just about to hit 49 years old and finally reached a mental state where I can be somewhat proud of the aesthetics I've achieved at this point. Photos from the last month:

Started off this cut a bit slow, and rolling in with 3K calories. Stark contrast from what I usually do to cut...
Not exactly a fan.
Am considering running another divebomb to 1.2K today.

I am in on this. The gyms closed down combined with being lazy and unfocused for the last 6 months have got me feeling and looking gross. Finally have my home gym put together enough to actually put in some real work again.
Starting this off around the 235 mark, will need to get back into the 190's

In again this year. My goal for this year is the same as last year: bulk. I just didn't get my diet dialed enough to really gain much weight. I pretty much maintained at roughly 205 lbs for the duration of last year. Trying to get to 225 relatively lean over the next couple years.

First two days and i lost 1 kg. Dat dere water of course, and low calories (less than 2k). I know its not ideal but its far from starving myself after the ridiculous surplus of december lol.
I think ill be very close to done by march, after that its just taking it very slow and enjoy the year.

I used to box, and fought amateur for a while but now I just do it to stay in shape and sharp. The elbows are for fun, and I've been learning how to kick although I'm not very good at it at the moment. So I stick to what I'm good at when I'm doing it for cardio, then throw in the "fun" stuff when I'm done.
I do play guitar but not super well, wish I was a heck of a lot better. You play?

Yeah, I've been playing for a little over two years. Progress is coming along steadily but I definitely want to improve my consistency a lot this year. That's the key. My goal is to play everyday, even if it's just for 15 mins.

My routine varies GREATLY from day to day, but the template kind of looks like this:Rounds are 3 min, breaks are 1 min
Round 1: Left hand only.
Round 2: Left hand sets up the right.
Round 3: Right hand sets up the left.
Round 4: Comfort flow / step in step out
Round 5: Comfort flow / step in step out
Round 6: Comfort flow
Round 7: Comfort flow
Round 8: Jab City (Jabs only)
Round 9: Straight Punches only
Round 10: Free
I usually warm up with bouncing for 5 minutes and then shadowboxing for 3-4 rounds (until I feel "comfortable/springy/loose"). So basically the moment I feel like I can throw clean punches with good rythym and flow, I move to the bag.
I also always set aside time to work on one very specific thing during each session. It could be something I am used to, or a new technique. But I always set aside "fun" time which is basically a bit of time to mess around, which is usually at the end of a session. Gets me to push myself a little more but because it is fun, it doesn't feel that way.
I also have days where I don't hit the bag at all but do primarily footwork, and those days I tend to run a few different drills. Next footwork day I'll throw up a video

Work work work boyos. Thread's too quiet let's get this chit moving and aesthetic!!!
Current Physique:

Tonight's work:

Some footwork drills I do that I mentioned to Ken:
Spoiler!
A lot of my current style is based on changing distancebut returning to center immediately after. So what you see above is basically just half steps with punches tacked in. The goal here is to find the rythym for when your punches should happen in accordance to your steps so it kind of almost becomes a dance.
I used to spend more time doing lateral work but lately I have found that I favor the mid so lateral movement happens a little less frequently

Though, I do have a "cross that bridge when I get there" mentality for now, as I don't see myself starting for a little while. Judo is great. I did it as a kid for a couple years but moved on from it, which I now regret. A lot of the gyms around here operate as MMA gyms, so if I wanted I could probably drop in on some BJJ or striking classes to supplement the Judo.I used to do BJJ because I wanted to fill out my game more. It's a metal song with some really great riffs and a cool solo. I've mostly been focusing on some technique stuff lately though. I'll put together some vids and PM you. What about you, any new songs lately? And what genres are you mostly into?
