It’s obviously not the worst but yeah it’s kinda trash. Needs to be really thick and rich to be edible, can’t stand a dry chilli. Heston Blumenthals is the only half decent recipe I’ve found, probably tried ten or so.

to make it thicker add some flour or tomato paste. The tomato paste will make it slightly sweeter, flour is neutral.

I mean oily rich thickness. I liked the Heston recipe because it involves making a spiced butter that you put in it which makes it rich af so it tastes way better.
