Sales brahs? What’s a good industry post covid?? Srs post

Thinking about insurance...I have experience in cold calling and I was successful at it.

Need some direction. Want to make money bad. Absolutely despise being unemployed.

Please offer any advice. Live in northeast

What type of insurance are you attempting to get into OP? Are you licensed? Personal lines? Property? Casualty? Life insurance?

All of the good sales jobs require a four year degree (software, medical device, pharmaceuticals). I think even entry level copier sales and uniform sales require a four year degree these days. Lots of options other than car sales. Unless you don't have a four year degree. Then it's retail or car sales.

I’m contemplating getting in insurance as I’ve heard it’s recession proof and you can make great money if your good. I’m not sure which avenue to take as I have zero connections

Like anything else it's building rapport and building a clientele base & getting referrals. These things take time.

Companies like triple A will hire if you don't have any previous experience and will train but it's grueling and all the people I know that are in the business used them as a stepping stone to sector off into more specific types of insurance sales.

I'm in construction sales. It's booming. I made almost $40k commission from December alone.

Tech sales, software sales, and medical sales are also great.

Maybe lube sales as well since the dems with me fuking everyone in the ass for the next 2 years at least.

So you made your company $400k?

Knowing their business as well as you must, why don’t you start your own company doing the same?

Seems like the only reason sales people do so well is because they make their owners 10-100x more then they make themselves

How do you get started from nothing in construction sales?

Pretty much. Some are big and some are small. But they all add up. I'll send them quotes for the job. If they decide they want it and I close the deal, they'll sign the quote, give me payment, then I make commission.

Not exactly. I've made the company millions lol. I get a certain percentage of each job depending on how much I've sold over the course of the year. Tradies and contractors then go do the labor.

I've definitely thought about starting a company in the same area of construction. It's a niche area. I'd still need to learn a couple other areas first. But it's doable. I only have about 2.5 years of experience doing this specific job.

I was sick of my old job and found this one in a zip recruiter ad. I applied, interviewed a few times, then they hired me. Now I make 3x what I did at my old job. Glad to be out of there.

Usually people like that work for a large company with tons of actual tradies that go do the work that lefticle puts the bids in for

Kinda hard to start that size of a thing on your own, especially if your pulling down schools, major new buildings, factory work

Have a few friends in insurance and it's crazy how much they make. Every single one of them is clearing $150k while two are making over $250 and one at $400k
