The President wants social media platforms to be accountable for their content. He has been consistent on this since the beginning. They are responding by flagging lies, removing lies and incitations to violence, and banning accounts of people that promote lies and harm. Congress has actually been more tolerant of this than the President. The only thing new here is that he is caught up in the same rules he wanted enforced for everyone else.
