That sound good on the surface, but -----there's a reason why they're 3rd world.

In the west we have been trained to go into denial about racist explanations for countries being 3rd world, but what if they're right?

What if you, you will find yourself in the monkey house at the zoo.

I would move to an Eastern European country. They are more old fashioned, the culture is low key, they don't like weirdness, but they still have the calm and lack of insane violence and stuff we are used to.

That would work, if you are white and can deal with their languages. However, I have been to a couple countries and everyone speaks English.

Yes, some cultures do not have crime, and some do. It does not follow financial strength directly.

When I was going up I was taught to be "poor but proud" and my mom used to say, "Even if you're wearing a potato sack walking down the street, you should hold your head up high because you know you're a good person" and that is the difference. Other cultures are willing to turn themselves into whores or degenerates for money.

There's a strong, I don't need anything, ethic in that culture.

I was recently helping a friend of mine with money. She thinks I'm rich and what I said her was, I do not need anything, I do not buy anything, I am only happy when my loved ones are doing well, which is why I can help you with money.

We need more Indians and Eastern Europeans in the US.

Sadly, the EEs we have don't get into politics or entertainment due to the humility factor, which is what we need!

No, just no. Teaching ESL would be a bad idea in the long run.

If you have a university degree do a bridging course in order to become an accredited teacher (something like the PGCE for example. Might take you two years to do). If you are an accredited teacher you can go work at an international school and make around double what you would make teaching English (in Thailand and China, at least, probably more in places like Cambodia), with a lot more perks and less bs.

A lot of these places still aren't super cheap in the main cities. Sure your average meal might cost half what you would pay back home but you still need to get away from the major cities to get proper value. At which point it would be super boring and surely terrible internet.

I've been to both and didn't think they were amazingly cheap, although I was too busy enjoying myself count my shekels while I was there. No doubt I was getting the foreigner price for everything.
