Tech sales/ financial sales is still king, especially tech.
If you want to make big money try going with a good looking start up.
Don’t listen to that d2d fraud shill. I did solar d2d and money was good, but majority of sales success is going to be territory and if your territory is over knocked/ **** you are going to be squeezing blood out of rocks.
If you end up in a territory with a bunch of new home owners, you will be able to make massive bank.
Heavily depend on state as well, in NJ there are dozens of companies knocking on the same houses over and over and because of solicitation laws, if your area is chit you are stuck there until the police in another town approve your permit, but some aren’t even doing it atm due to covid bs.

Chit is terrible in the pouring rain and cold winter as well, definitely isn’t a career for sure.
Also even if you are near some solid burbs, there are power grid limits on how many homes can be added, so many towns are blacked out/ not knockable due to new panel restrictions.

Like I said though, if you are able to do solar somewhere like CA or where there isn’t a big push for it yet and hit up solid suburbs or new home areas the job is cake and you will be making bank, especially if you set appts and close

Thats literally where the reputation comes from. I'm not saying that being in the industry automatically makes someone a scumbag, but its a lot like police officers. There may be a genuine one here and there...


Car dealerships use predatory and scammy tactics by nature. They talk about how to lure people in and confuse them by refusing to cite out the door pricing and focusing on instead using four square BS to show people one element of what they are describing while simultaneously reducing their trade in value, increasing interest, etc. They use high pressure desperation tactics and tell outright lies. They brag about how bad they screwed over customers on a deal. The car sales industry is not wholesome, pal.

For example is software sales operated on the same ethics as car sales they would all literally be fined out of existence within a week.

THAT being said I am aware that there are exceptions to everything and not every car dealer or employee will lack. But if you are an honest ethical person and you join an unethical dealer, you wouldn't last as you'd be pushed out for not doing it their way.
