Interesting how even though all southern, you used to be able to hear the distinction between sub regions. I never really liked the Louisiana stuff, but was into the Memphis TN and Houston TX sound.

If I remember right his grandfather lived in richmond, CA and so he lived in cali for a few years and bought his first recording stuff from some money his grandpa left him after he passed.
