ancestry dna sucks compared to 23andme. it doesn't break down the categories as well unfortunately

i did 23andme, ancestry, and heritage dna. the results were all so different.

23andme is the most accurate, think it's cause they're a bigger company with more resources. idk

i have a lot relatives that i would bang and fap to just saying that's what i get out of doing this

i don't remember, just basic stuff, like name, location, i think the saliva does everything else.

i don't really care for the repercussions of the future, genetic discrimination or whatever, probably by then i'd be dead. it was worth it to me because my mom passed away when I was a kid, and her parents I think passed away when she was a kid or abandoned her in an orphanage. so I don't know anything on my mom's side, and still don't really lol. but it confirmed something that I didn't really know.

i also have an aunt on my mom's side who was separated from my mom when my mom was an orphan. wanted to find more information about her, but unfortunately she's not there.

I meant that you can guesstimate based on non-saliva info as well.

It's meant to be 98% accurate so there's could be other mixes in there that I'm not aware of, plus I think it only goes back 1000 years.

But yeah they just asked my name and address, sent me a kit where I spit my saliva into a tube and mix it with a solution then send it off to the lab.

Apparently it says I have a 4th cousin and a few other distant cousins on the site aswell but I doubt thats legit.

i'm asian lol. i look 100% east asian, but my mom is half filipino and half chinese, and my dad is full filipino. but looking at me you would think i'm 100% chinese because of my skin and facial features. so assuming one of my mom's parents is chinese, 23andme put down that i'm 16% chinese, which is pretty accurate. however idk it's dingy about the chinese heritage





asian is pretty broad, yeah most chinese are mostly chinese, like vietnamese people probably have mostly chinese genetics too.... but it probably goes way back when they were tribal native warriors there or something. so a vietnamese person would probably get some chinese and vietnamese.

not sure about japanese or korean people, probably some percent there would be chinese too. indonesians and malaysians would have very mixed DNA i would think. and you would think cause i'm filipino I would have spanish genetics but I don't lol. my filipino buddy has spanish genetics on his.

and people don't know this but there are black native people in asia too. in vietnam there's natives who are black, same in the phililippines.

vietnam is pretty interesting. there's light skinned vietnamese and dark skinned vietnamese. i'd like to know what the darker skin vietnamese people are.
