He looks delicious
They are really smart. Crazy adaptable too, when domesticated hogs escape from farms they can grow more hair / tusks and basically look like a wild boar pretty quick.

Was gonna get a pig...problems...
1. rooting behavior....could be excessive as it also is an outlet for anxiety if you don't have a proper yard ...you need a decent sized yard.
2. no telling how big a pig will get. read that sentence again no matter what you've been told.
3. sometimes its hard to find a vet who will accomodate a pig (esp a 400lbs one).
good luck though...they're cute even when big imo.

Dont forget your Russian roots Snails.
German's are big pig eaters. I assume Russian's are in some ways the same.
Be careful you dont twist your perception of animals into something to be cuddled only.
But enjoy yourself regardless.

We have a whole shed we are converting the fencing we have to wait for the ground to un freeze then getting a machine in to dig down 2 feet to put down wire fencing.
We have 5 acres
We could have a cow with our land, the neighbors alpacas always end up in our yard and the dog and the pig get along. We can accommodate him. We also have a 2500 sq three store barn we just build out the inside to and put the two new levels in with electricity.
They are stinking adorable I hope he gets huge he’s going to weigh at least 50 lbs more than me. I want to ride him. Lol I used to ride one of the alpines we had and sheep when I was a kid.
Also, sadly, pretty sure the husband is going to eat him in a year :.( :.( :.( he better buy me a new pig. I won’t eat him I haven’t had meat since I was 8

Don't think I could treat livestock as a pet. Too hard once it comes time for the slaughter. I hear pigs are really smart which would make it that much harder. Cows are borderline retarded so it's not nearly as bad

Cute pigs and cows make me feel guilty eating beef/pork. I try to stick mostly to chicken/fish.
If I had more land I think I'd really like to do a coop similar to OP. Would probably be hell trying to keep my black mouth cur out though, anyway.
