Yep, the reality of The Great Reset.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." -T. Jefferson

Nope. They are much more afraid of gold and silver. They can´t control gold and silver as much as they can control crypto. They can crash crypto completely if they want, they can´t do that with silver/gold. Crypto doing good is actually short term good for the elite banks and government.

The elites could set up a total global power shutdown if they want to. Thats a fact, and crypto would go to zero overnight. They control crypto, and it succeeding and taking away from precious metals means more control for them. You stupid morons don´t get this.

Crypto becoming bigger and bigger means more money they have control over. If the crypto market cap goes to 50 trillion, that means the elites now have control over that 50 trillion. They could wipe out that huge amount of money really quickly. Digital stuff is always vulnable to government control, much more so than physical stuff.

I exited that short a long time ago, and I made money on it. I´m trying to be real here. Lets stop sugarcoating crypto, lets be real even tho you have an invested interest in it succeeding. So do I, but I´m able to stay somewhat unbiased.

The bigger crypto gets, the more money the elites control. They have the power to crash crypto to zero if they really want to. Thats not possible with gold and silver, and thats why the elites don´t want gold and silver to become popular. The notion that governments don´t control crypto is an illusion which is maintained by greed.

Cryptobrahs saying "'they're afraid" as if Bitcoin hodlers have the upper hand. You don't want these people to be afraid. They have the power and resources to destroy your retirement plans.

For years they would not even acknowledge Bitcoin's existence. Now HSBC has banned crypto exchanges and the president of the European Central Bank is talking regulation.

These are not good signs.

I doubt anyone thought that the Korean finance minister (who ended up dead in his bed shortly after) saying similar things in 2017 would lead to a crash either

Central banks are either going to get behind BTC or crush it using their pet governments

Michael saylor thinks Bitcoin might end up having a market cap of $200 trillion. Just goes to show how out of touch with reality some bitcoiners are. It´s delusion

All these bitcoin influencers are scumbags that has lots in common with pyramid scheme influencers.

What people must realize is that the risks are huge by investing in crypto, but so can the rewards be. No one knows what will happen. China could ban bitcoin tomorrow and the price would collapse 99% in one day. Who knows. Great risk/great rewards. Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, so it can go to zero. Gold, food or other commodities cannnot go to zero.

Slow, expensive fees, no on chain governance (big one). Fundamentally flawed with a max supply cap. No sophisticated smart contracts. No promising projets built on bitcoin. No token standards. Little innovation. Getting more centralized. No STO´s or other tokenized assets. No staking. No nothing. It´s a big nothingburger

Not easily upgradeable, not built to last. codebase could be better. Centralized governance. No non dilutive inflation.

Bitcoin only has security and trust, but those will trend downwards over time. It wastes unneccessary amounts of electricity that could be better spent somewhere else than securing a flawed blockchain.

On the surface he has. But sadly he is clueless if you look beneath the surface. He also have a history of fraud allegations. He is a pyramid scheme recruiter, just look at his twitter.

Save this post for future reference.
That is a well known perspective in the crypto community, and it's already happening in China, Singapore, Argentina, and Brazil - they have already began rolling out their CBDC. The Fed and various European banks have publicly announced that they are planning on doing it.

It's called a CBDC a central bank digital currency.

Unlike other blockchain currency it is centrally controlled.

I expect massive regulation on Bitcoin, but regulation that tries to make it easy for institutions to own and use crypto as assets, but hard for individuals to use as currency.

Here are 2 very good videos on the possible plans...

Here is a well respected ex Hedge fund manager and entrepreneur talking about CBDC being part of government's plans...

I agree.

All anyone has to do is do 1 transaction for $1 with Bitcoin. (Check out the transaction fee.) Then do a $1 transaction with Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Smartcash, and XLM. They are cheap and fast.

The Bitcoin Cash ecosytem is far, far better than Bitcoin's but Bitcoin is winning ATM because of it's Brand.

Kim Dot Com has jumped on board with Bitcoin Cash though... So maybe it will get more recognition.

They can't erase them - due the nature of a distributed computer program.

All they can do is to try to make them as difficult as possible for normies to buy and use. A lot normies refuse to use decentralized exchanges and use their own wallets, instead they keep them on centralized exchanges... They will need to rethink that as the regulations get worse.

However, I think everyone ITT needs to bear in mind that hard drugs are a multi-billion if not trillion dollar market. It thrives despite being illegal. Many things thrive despite being illegal, when there is demand there will be supply.

Real question, does anyone actually use it for anything other than speculative investment or money laundering? It's too volatile to be a store of wealth or asset yet, maybe in a few years...

I've legit never spoken to anyone who has actually spent a bitcoin. I can't think of anything else that is an asset but not easy to spend. If I offer my neighbor $20,000 of gold for his car he'll probably take it, but .76 bitcoins (or whatever is $20k equivalent) and he'll likely laugh me out of his garage.

It will be regulated one day. Then no more laundering which has to be 90% of the value.

Bitcoin is only one crypto project, it's also only one of many cryptocurrencies.

It would be literally impossible for them to shutdown crypto, they don't have a infinite supply of computer processing power.

Crypto is more than just cryptocurrency, it involves; trading platforms, smartcontract networks (e.g. Ethereum and Polkadot), decentralized finance (everything that is available through traditional finance is available through decentralized finances), etc.

IMO the projects that will stand the test of time will likely by DEFI (decentralized finance) and privacy networks/cryptos projects... As the state gets crazier with surveillance and oppression, IMO the more people will turn to censorship resistant finance. Just like we are seeing the massive amounts of people signing up to anti-censorship platforms due to Big Tech censorhip.

Yes.

Growing in Latin America, and around the world. For various reasons. You can - and people do - buy flights, hotels, groceries, electronics, clothing, etc using cryptocurrency (directly and indirectly).

DEFI is a growing part of the crypto industry, IMO it is going to be huge in the coming years.

Also, stablecoins exist. They are cryptocurrency pegged to fiat currency e.g. 1 DAI = $1.

DEFI is a growing part of the crypto industry, IMO it is going to be huge in the coming years.

Also, stablecoins exist. They are cryptocurrency pegged to fiat currency e.g. 1 DAI = $1.
I guess it makes sense in Latin America where you might have a new government next week that confiscates any wealth. A speculative asset in the first world is likely worth more than a valueless third world currency.

Any developed economies that aren't purely based on drug money and tourists? A large portion of LA economy is money laundering and other illicit activities which is what cryptos are currently good for.

Once it becomes common, if ever, it will definitely be regulated as any other currency. Im curious as to why a retailer in a developed economy would accept it at all, or what the benefit to me is over using my Amex? Why should papa John, for example, accept it instead of telling me to convert it to USD at my own cost
