I stopped swing trading CCIV for the most part, it almost seems like algos know when someone is flipping relatively large quantities of shares. Was easy the first day, but the second day I struggled to break even. Just 500 shares deep now.

Not gonna lie, gettin pretty nervous about my 3 legged "straddle." If it stays between $805 and $910 on 1/29, I'm fukkin golden, and will be treating myself to something awesome.

if LUCID announces CCIV as their target by then, wouldn't surprise me if it affects TSLA. Lots of people could move funds to get in on CCIV

they know everything is online now. esp with covid, they closed down some of their physical stores. that's why they're restructuring and going e-commerce for console and pc gaming hardware + accessories with quick shipping. pc hardware is a huge market + digital games. with covid, our shopping behaviors have changed. its all about digital and online shopping on our phones/computers. they'll add incentives for ppl to use gamestop online obviously already partnered with microsoft. they'll also keep a few stores open for ppl who like to shop in person or returns or whatever.

just imagine blockbuster transitioning into netflix with very few physical stores + selling dvds TVs speakers and accessories online & in-store, but the problem is blockbuster never did, timing is everything. gametop brand name is already there, they're rebranding it and entering PC gamer market as well, and esports is fking huge esp with twitch. competition is healthy. so in a way they're trying to be amazon for pc + console gaming hardware and also be like steam/epic for consoles and pc, 2 in 1.

a lot of boomer companies are following the ecommerce trend and restructuring. 2020 was a good example, amazon exploded. now everyone is following. also why im long bed bath and beyond, they did decent with their recent ER, went from share price of $17 before ER to now $26 right now, it's gonna continue to climb slowly.. they also sandbagged their next ER, if they blow it out of the waters, then they'll explode, easy 2x or 3x.
Maybe, but doesn't New Egg already pretty much have the "Amazon of PCs" covered?

And their digital incentives are only going to last as long as Microsoft decides to give them the charity. There's nothing digitally they could offer that MSFT couldn't just decide to offer on their own direct in the Live Store. And they're going to need some sort of incentive for people to want to put down the controller and visit a website for a code to the same thing they can just click to download in console. Incentives that take money from MSFT's pocket when customers choose to buy digitally from GME instead of direct in console. So not saying it isn't possible, just not seeing how they make it work. I think there's a lot more to it than "well, let's just go digital".

And for sure, Block Buster ignored the writing on the wall and didn't pivot. That or they just couldn't figure it out. Timing is everything and they needed to act before streaming services and VOD through cable providers became a big thing. Unfortunately, I think we're already at that point with GME. The video game equivalent of VOD and Netflix already exist out there, and GME doesn't have a digital presence yet. They're already behind the curve and need to find a way to reel people back in. Simply going digital isn't going to cut it IMO.

you also got microcenter for pc hardware, they can def co-exist. they're gonna specialize in "gaming hardware" marketed towards gamers. partnership + marketing is everything in business. if it was sure win, everyone would be in GME right now. only reason GME is popular rn because of the short squeeze.

but you aren't wrong. if they fail to adapt, can def flop and go bankrupt. then the shorters win and michael burry loses. so we'll have to see what happens in the future.

All of this, if GameStop wanted to avoid being the video game version of Blockbuster, they needed to make big moves 3-5 years ago. That’s before even addressing the fact that most of the gaming community has despised them for years. Bringing in the guy from Chewy was a great move, but I think it’s too little, too late. Either way though, their stock shouldn’t be anywhere near 35+, it should be about 1/4 of that.

But kudos to WSB for finally getting their chit together and making themselves some money instead of chasing and losing more times than not like they usually do.

POS Schwab didn't have SPCE 2/19 $40 calls set up this morning so i had to wait on hold for 30 minutes while they got them set up. Ended up working in my favor though and got an extra $500 on my trade. Still so ****ing annoying.

Anybody else in on BNGO? Skyrocketing today and actually starting to get solid support from major players. Especially with their ongoing symposium.

Far from done. You don't see it as much on WSB because it's flooded with GME stuff. It'll have its moment to shine soon.
