Damn Kane you dumb.
My name isn't Kane, and if I'm dumb, and you're broke, that must make you dumber than I am.
It used to be that if you couldn't handle stress, you'd get eaten by a lion or some shyt. Now kids grow up not knowing how to handle stress, plus life in general is too easy in first world countries. I wonder why people aren't killing themselves in third world countries like they are in first world countries despite living in hell compared how the average person lives in a first world country.

I honestly wish you the best, but I don't think you're gonna make it. All you know how to do is complain, if you worked as hard as you complain, you wouldn't have much to complain about.

If that's true, why haven't you adapted? Why are you at age 31 still a loser nobody with no prospects who has to delete threads after getting caught in lie after lie?

Do we really want to make this thread about me, like it is in nearly every thread I decide to post in, or do you want to actually talk about what you intended to in your OP?

Cause I'm game for either

LOOOL

OP has a point. Society progressed technologically but mentally/spiritually we are regressing IMO. Too much instant gratification without the actual work being put in. We cant moan and complain. Be doer and make a change in your own life. It helps.

That's not the way the human brain works for each individual. Depression is a chemical imbalance. You think that rich people don't have the same issues with depression?

I wanted to quote and agree with your post in the other thread, but I don't think it was the place for it.

**Chemical imbalances aside**

The way I see it is by comparing muscles to your tolerance to stress. When you don't use your muscles they atrophy and you end up in chitty shape, same thing with your mental health. No stress? The brain "atrophies" (not literally, I know) and you end up mentally weak and frail.

Exposing your brain to stress and hardships is essential for strength and character, but I see it again like your muscles. You can't go in the gym day one and deadlift 4 plates, you'll snap your chit. Same principle applies to the brain, you give it too strong of a stress and it snaps its chit.

Broscience anyway.

I agree to a certain extent. But it's dangerous to be using that principle on a young mind because you never know how much each individual is able to cope with. Not everyone is wired to be able to live in a single parent household where the parent is away. Some may be able to prosper, while others are going to suffer. It's like over lifting and fukn your chit up. (Ahh I see you already used this analogy.. nvm)

Yeah, I don't think it is a one size fits all approach either. Just like some people don't have the biomechanics to perform certain exercises, as opposed to others.

I think the issue though is that current society (western) has too many obstacles in the way that influence people to make that choice of ''not going to the gym'' as you said in your example. Third world countries have the advantage of having no choice but to strengthen their minds as their societies dont give them choices of easy living etc.

I agree with your post in general. Without stress on the mind, you wont be able to strengthen it. I just think that there are too many influences in our society that deter us from strengthening ourselves making it that much more harder.

I understand it just fine, there are levels to things, and it seems men are just getting weaker as time goes on. It also seems there's an inverse correlation between hardship and mental illness.

This is definitely a huge issue. Society pushes tolerance and comfort over struggles and triumph. Just some little things like: netflix over reading, chit food over working out, elevator over stairs, etc.

And then you have more significant things like participation trophies, exams being easier, less emphasis on competition and more. I'm in school right now and we have an exam bank from 2006-2008 to help us get ready for our evaluations and jesus christ has the material been dumbed down.

TLDR: Society is moving more towards the easy route and it will backfire even worse than it already has.

Wrong. It's more like, the more you aware of what is out there via consumerism the more you may potentially have an issue with your surroundings. Having knowledge about the world around you is a double edged sword for most people. Realizing that "Wow I have all these things and knowledge compared to everyone else. Why do I still not feel fufilled"

This is exactly what I mean. What you want in life is to give your kids upper middle class security, but also hardships, so that they know that when things get hard, they can persevere.

Life is too short to be sugar coating things. I prefer people speak in as direct a manner as possible. Some people don't like that.

So you think little Timmy with a trust fund has more knowledge than someone else who spends less time sulking on social media?

He certainly has the means to seek out knowledge that 90% of others on this planet may not be aware of. Just by having means and access to technology he has more knowledge that a GIGANTIC portion of the human population

Let's get to the topic at hand, at least in my life all the BS you said was disproven, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here who isn't a total failure, so tell me, why do you think the way you do? With such a defeatist attitude.

What knowledge could he acquire that anyone with smartphone couldn't? Look at that Kardashian *******, the fat one, you think if he was born in Kazakhstan he'd have all these depression issues? Nope, he'd be too busy trying to survive.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
