How to respond to getting snubbed by friends for planned gathering?
So every year me and a group of college friends get together for Christmas.
This year my good friend A planned that we were going to go to a German restaurant, rent a heated yurt, drink brews and eat some German food.
He told me about it a month ago and I said hell yeah that sounds awesome, I'm in.
Well today is the day before the event and I hadn't heard anything, so I texted my friend asking if it's still happening.
He says, "actually no, we've decided to watch the football game at X's house instead. I'll put you in the group chat."
He puts me in the group chat and they planned all of this stuff out without me. And since it's tomorrow, without anyone even informing me of the new plans, I think it's safe to assume that nobody would have even told me and I wouldn't have been there? lmao
A little background is that it's a group of 7 guys. I went with them last year to something else and it was a great time. The organizer (A) I'm good friends with, and one of the other guys I'm even better friends with. The remaining 4 or 5 are A's good friends/roommates from college, so I understand that I'm kind of on the fringe of this group anyways, so I'm not TOO upset.
But I mean damn, I was pretty excited for the original plan. Sounded fun as hell and with quarantine nobody's really doing anything so it woulda been nice.
So I responded to his text with "Gotcha. I'm just going to figure something else out." -- I really don't feel like going over there now after finding out I was just an afterthought.
Then he responds with "Ok are you sure? I didn't mean to not include you, I've just been swamped and have been doing a ****ty job of coordinating."
I can understand that but it seems a little disingenuous considering that it was about to happen tomorrow without me even being informed.
How do I respond to that text above without sounding butthurt? Just say something like "It's all good man no biggie"?
Would any of you actually go to the event?

It was about to happen tomorrow and if I didn't text my friend, nobody would have told me anything. I wouldn't have been there anyways, lol.
The fact that he's trying to pass it off and he's just been busy is kind of insulting.
I did just respond with "It's all good no biggie" and he texted back "but it would be more fun if you were there."
Seems like he's just trying to bring me along out of pity now. He must have been thinking I forgot about the original plan since he hadn't talked to me about it in almost a month.
