Most of my gains have been by shares. But i recently stopped buying shares because I'm trying to be a ñittle more liquid.

Abs i also yolo calls every once in a while because I'm retarded.

I can't recall anything significant, and I can't think of why a large increase in an existing contract wouldn't be newsworthy when we constantly hear about the new customers.

Holy fuk, the GME hype may be more than just a pump...

Read a discussion on GME pivoting to have more of a focus on custom pc builds. This could be genius, they made their business before off of offering a wide range of games and accessories, but they made their money off of buying and selling used games. High end pc gamers are constantly chasing the newest equipment and there is billions of desirable hardware sitting around unused because someone upgraded and didn't sell it.

GME would make this process extremely easy. A lot of people complain about having to drive hundreds of miles to get to their nearest microsystem. I'm not getting in on it, especially at these prices, but still interesting.
1) how much have you had to drink tonight?

2) for the dude who had infinite insider info about PLTR during direct listing, you seem to be on the same knowledge level as everyone else these days. What gives?

3) lol at GME trying to compete with the likes of new egg, micro center, etc.

I actually don't drink, srs.

My knowledge on Palantir was more based on what's happened in the past 12 years or so, I have zero significant insight into the future, in fact their earnings being in March and not the Street consensus of February is my last insight ever (and I may be wrong) that wouldn't be easily learned through google.

If I had an active source of insight I'd be playing options, lol. Tbh my insight before wasn't that groundbreaking, it was just that PLTR is the real deal and people that I know are the real deal, are the ones saying its the real deal. That's basically all I needed to know to say jump. Of course understanding and working in big data also aided in my unusual understanding of what they'll likely be in 7 years.

Hmm, here's actually an insight that I don't think is commonly understood now that I think about it actually.

The TAM is limited generally to Fortune 500 companies, which limits their potential as this model cannot be ubiquitous in the way that Microsoft, Google, or Apple are.

However, imagine if YUM applied PLTR tech across all of their franchises. Imagine if PLTR had an out of the box product that helped community banks with compliance. Grocery store chains have long been ahead of the curve on data (shoppers cards are data collecting tools) and I could see them adopting the tech for supply chain solutions.

Now imagine if one of those was already happening, the use of PLTR for community banks. Community banks are independent, but PLTR is developing a solution to an issue that represents a large group made up of many small members. This is how PLTR will expand their TAM.

Now continue to imagine that you're driving through your town. A suburb that you grew up in. You see a bank on the left, a Wendy's on the right, a police car is at the intersection, you're in a self driving car traveling on roads where traffic lights are using AI/ML to optimize traffic flows in real time while communicating with your car, you swing by the grocery store on the way home.

Every single one of those things that we just experienced in that drive through town could be supported by PLTR some day.

The equity in my home has rocketed since my refinance with, you guessed it, rocket mortgage.

My first payment with 2.5% interest was in October and the total balance owed is just plummeting. If you guys are looking to refinance or buy a rental property, now is the time to do it. I’m excited to see what I’ll owe in 5 years

I’m almost thinking about renting this place out and buying something farther from town. Although having tenants is not something I really want to deal with, but I don’t know how long these rates are gonna last.

Does anyone have any idea why AMD is down, would this be a “buy the dip” moment?

I was browsing elitetrader.com and trying to get perspectives of people that day traded for a living. Couldn't believe what I was reading.

Brb, you need $200-500k MINIMUM since you will most likely not beat 10% yearly returns. Brb, you need 5 years of experience, most of which will be you losing money, before you start to make any.

Are these guys just chitty traders?

I think the amount of money is only necessary for the mental side of things. With a big account size you can trade 25k usd and see the trade through / average down longer than someone with a 25k account. The 25k account holder will be sweating through a mistake and panic sell.

Just checked out that site first time, and ran through a couple of threads. Not gonna say anything aside from I won’t be going back.

Also, I mean this with ZERO disrespect, but you need to chill on this whole day trade for a living fantasy. Only a couple people here do it for a living, and they have ALL told you, in your shockingly abandoned day trading for a living thread, to NOT DO IT.

True - not saying I’m interested in it because of the gains I’ve made off CCIV though. I was profitable before that as well, just not in such a short period of time.

Chino, I just hate my day job. Have a boss that’s a bit of a bully, and despite the company doing incredibly well last year they stiffed me with a 2% raise (thats another discussion, but even my boss agrees I shouldve gotten more). My expenses right now are nearly under $1k/month so it’s just very tempting to quit and just focus on learning for another career while trading on the side.

I abandoned that thread btw because I pretty much proved to myself that I could be profitable.. no reason to continue it.

Not being a prick, but what is your 2021 YTD? I'm small potatoes, but still up 10% already this year. Others are up 40-50% already. My 401k last year was 15% YTD which is spectacular. Trying to beat that for 2021

@travis did you sign up for the Rocket squares game(for the superbowl) since you already have an account there? They have some huge prizes. Anyone interested here's my linkhttps://rocketmortgagesquares.com/?r...4-139c0095edfe

I got pre-qualified for an additional home loan just incase so went ahead and set this up. Gonna get on a bunch of online sports books for the promo offers and see if I can take some free $$$$

I always forget about my other 'retirement account' that's funded through payroll deductions. I imagine its gonna get slammed in 2021 after being up 26% in 2019 and 25% in 2020 because its all in Nasdaq funds. Might have to look into changing some holdings based on Biden.

I've had great results w/ global/emerging market equity options I had. I really only had retirement date options before July so I've been getting kinda hosed with things holding 40%+ bonds

I think they only match like 3% or something but I have 17% deducted for an even 20% contribution.

Thinking of loading up on IPOE calls maybe April $22.50 calls for $3.50 each. Sofi Merger is supposed to be Q1

Haven't bought calls in a long time, maybe getting 30x

or maybe just keep playing it safe and sell 20x 17.50 puts for like $5400 in premium

Follow your intuition bro.
If you have enough money right now to support yourself while trading / learning a new skill then if I was in your position I would.

Why you think IPOE moons harder?

Sofi primarily refinances student loans... imo their bread and butter has probably gotten crushed with student loan forbearance extended to infinity. I'd be scared to own it right now. How much further you think it can pump?

They do more than just loans. They are financing everything and have huge hype.

I was just looking at the Greeks chain and think that maybe calls aren't a good idea. 4/16 $20 calls are $4 and have a delta of 60. If I were to get 30 contracts and stonk goes to $30 I'd make 18k. I think I'd rather deploy 12k more in shares to make $6k gains or sell a bunch of puts. Slow and steady

I'd already looked at CSP and they are pretty cheap. Think 3/19 17.5 for $2 is the way to go? Or 20 for $3.6? The IV on that chain is 100ish

I'd go $20 definitely if assigned just wheel it. I have 1500 commons of IPOE at 17.90 thinking it goes for a run, will trim 500 shares if it moons and hold the other 1k for long.

Hoping CCIV hits it big and gives me some massive put selling power
