Normally the "gender reveal" crap was rolled into typical baby showers that women have to give gifts to whatever broad friend of theirs is knocked up at the moment. Less stupid than a gender reveal specific event, but dumb none the less, imo.

Honestly, the older I get, the more ridiculous and stupid I think all of these types of events are. Baby showers, gender reveal events, weddings, wedding receptions, etc. After you've been around awhile and seen it all come crashing down in divorce regardless of all of that crap countless times, it really makes you start questioning the point of any of that bullchit.

Because I can tell you right now, that not a single dollar that was spent on bs like wedding rings, the wedding ceremony itself, wedding reception, baby showers parties, etc. did a damn thing to make my relationship with my ex-wife any healthier. Honestly, we probably would have been better off just saving that money when we were younger and using it on actual useful things instead. Might have given us a better chance to start off with less intentional financially absurd moves in the name of "tradition".

Probably would have ended eventually anyway. But what I do know for sure is that none of that bullchit did anything to make it a happier/healthier relationship/marriage. It's all illusion and hat tricks that have nothing to do with the actual health/stability of a relationship.

Gender reveal parties came about because some sloot kept having a miscarriage, after several attempts they decided to throw a "reveal" party to celebrate because they thought the day would never come quite wholesome tbh. Now it's been hijacked and ruined by retards and the sloot that created the trend regrets it now srs.

These days you can add birthdays, Christmas, engagements, and virtually anything else like that to it due to social media. Yeah you always had people sending postcards and what not about that stuff in the past, but at least that took some degree of effort and felt slightly more personal. These days it feels like half or more of the reason people do any of that stuff in the first place is forcused around attention whoring for likes and validation on social media rather than the momemts themselves.
