That's a painted turtle, brah. I want to say the eastern Painted, to be exact. Could be western or southern, though. Tough to tell from that angle.

btw after describing where you took the turtle photo, I 100% guarantee that's a midland painted. Several variations of painted turtles, but they have fairly distinct regions without too much overlapping. Distinct markings as well, but hard to tell most without a good look from multiple angles.

took a zoology class in hs, teacher made us learn like 200 bird names or some chit, ever since then when I see one if I dont know the name I try to find it. Birds are neat, once it gets warmer im gonna put some more bird feeders up. mine are plagued with tufted titmouses currently


favorite bird is easily this bad boy, pictures dont do them justice the shade of gray they are is extremely unique i dont really know how else to describe it. When you see one you know its gray, but its like its a gray you didnt know existed if that makes sense. I spent a good 30min trying to explain to my gf why these things are so neat and she thought i was retarded it was just a gray bird, then she saw one and she knew what i meant

Noiice, pretty cool that a random HS class sparks an interests that develops into a hobby. I have yet to see a titmouse, instead all I get are fukin chickadees.

Is that a Grey Catbird? (Never saw it before, I used my identification guide lol). Oh your explanation is clear, I looked at a lot of different pictures and yeah I think the shade of gray is interesting. My book tells me when and where they are most likely to be seen, I'll be on the lookout for those fukers come summer. My favorite bird has to be the Raven, there is just something about them that attracts me, yet I have no pictures of them.

Yes, If I remember correctly the last duck is a juvenile mallard. The salamander is a Redback Salamander. I got a picture of a Mudpuppy and a Blue-spotted Salamander somewhere, I'll have to dig for them.
