The pop can on a coat hanger one is standard here. They hop from stick to pop can, and it rotates and in they go.

We aren't smart enough to figure out the magnets lol

I hear ya but they reproduce and multiply too fast to let them live. Those babies you're letting go in your barn are probably the same ones that are eventually finding their way into your house.

We did something similar years ago...a coat hanger wire stuck thru 1/2" pvc. Peanut butter in the middle of the PVC so when they try to get out to it rolls them off and in...but sometimes it rolled to quick and they were able to jump off quick enuff...I actually watched one at camp so I just paid the 10 bucks and never looked back

catch them in no-kill traps and make the drive to a field a good distance a way and release them. I know a couple people that did that. also, get a cat.
