Mets GM fired for explicit text images sent to reporter in 2016
We're entering an era where you better be very careful with who you trust these days.
What might seem like harmless flirting in the moment, and may even be perceived as a joke at the time and no big deal can quickly turn on you years later if the other person you're joking with suddenly decides it was an offensive conversation. I don't know if that was the case with the Mets GM and the reporter, it may have been inappropriate from the get go. But people's attitudes shift all the time, especially women but not limited to just women either. If you plan to make any kind of borderline comment, whether sexual or racial in nature, you better know for sure you trust that other person who's receiving it.

This guy was an idiot though. From reading about the transcripts he didn't catch a hint that she wasn't interested (even though she wasn't specifically telling him to go away until he started sending sexy pics to her). He was texting her constantly and basically begging for a date and then when she didn't even respond he doubled down like a simp. Then sent her an unsolicited dic pic like an idiot.
If you're going to flirt with a girl in a professional environment and she doesn't respond, take a hint and just move on. Guy was a GM of a major sports franchise, he could have gotten tons of other willing women I'm sure.

Hopefully whomever was keeping this hidden at ESPN will be held accountable. If that reporter left her job and left the country because of this, and ESPN knew, she should be able to sue them, the Cubs, and this loser.
