I’ve been playing 3 min blitz lately, but I did 1 minute bullet for a while last year. I’ll do longer 8 minute games and 1 minute bullet again soon, just need to get my strength back up.

Going forward, play more than one move per 12 hours. There’s others waiting to play the next round and the next tournament. (IronFeta, your bitchass is on notice)


Also, learn to resign when you are down a couple important pieces. It’s not being weak, it’s proper Chess etiquette.

Looking at the pairings, it seems like an elimination tourney and not a round robin.


This may be better so we can get started sooner with our second, bigger tourney.

Yup, pawn structure was the massive decider in both.

And I should've stopped chess for the day after those games. I've blundered almost instantly in my game against atomicbbgum. Too much chess for one day.

Can always play for fun, still had potential on one of those matches. But yes. Pawn structure can decide the entire outcome and developing pieces instead of early attacks can also make it or break it.
