Logistics on the company level are performed by an E-5 or maybe an E-6.

At the battalion level, they are led by an O-2, maybe and 0-3, with a small team of lower level enlisted soldiers.

These offices will normally work with the operations shop to coordinate a things like a schedule and travel pay. In the ops shop, NCO’s will do the work. If approval of their OIC is required, it is usually an O-4.

This is based on unit MTOE or TDA, which are documents authorizing specific ranks and number of soldiers to fill those positions.

Since this was a larger number of soldiers across different states, I imagine brigade level leadership worked with each other, relying on their respective operations and logistical offices for advice.

What you are suggesting is that the president micromanaged these units very basic functions as if it were a a priority for him, or any part of his job what so ever.

I’m sure he could have absolutely invited them back to the capital, but these decisions were made so far below his level, it was never even presented to him as an issue.

That is not the presidents job in any way, shape, or form.

I acknowledge my own biases and that they do play a role in my thinking patterns. As I recall, anything I spoke out about Trump was directly related to his behavior.

I did not say that Biden could not find them appropriate housing, or that he had zero influence in it.

I did he could have absolutely invited them back to the capital, but these decisions are made so far below his level, it was never presented to him as an issue. I do feel that if the president were to say something about it, it would be carried out without question. I just strongly doubt he was even made aware what they were enduring.
