Do you guys do FIFO or LIFO for your shares? First in first out or last in first out?

I think the default choice on Fidelity is FIFO but I think I should change to LIFO in case I hold something over a year and flip some during the year?

Switched to LIFO way too late in the game smh. By the time I figured it out, I had already primarily switched to options trading lol. Zero reason I could think of to do FIFO unless your older shares were purchased higher

I have AMD calls. Not planning on holding through earnings. Probably selling Monday or Tuesday morning.

If I notice anything unusual with Tesla with deep OTM calls from no where.

Gonna buy few.

Boeing is worth look. (puts)

Apple as well. (calls)

AMC is fundamentally chit rn, but I'm really hoping the WSB autists can run it up from $3.50 to $6 in the coming weeks.

What exp? My play expires 1/29, but I have a feeling earnings might moon it. IV crush could destroy all options on Thursday and Friday, so just have to decide to diamond hand it or close a leg early on Monday...

1/29

Need to see if something pops up Monday or Tuesday.

I am looking for far OTM calls.

That usually sign someone knows something. Thats what happened last time.

Plus few price upgrades and it starts to moon.

I don’t think GME is finished yet, that’s that WSB is saying, that’s why the halted trading yesterday. Durin the halt they boosted BB and PLTR and AMC, other meme stocks in hopes people thought it was “over” and move their money there.

My guess is the squeeze is just beginning (this was said at $40 too) and it may go over $100 easy. I sold my position at $45 but I’m gonna go back in this week.

Also fck me for not buying apple calls when it was $127.

This will sound obvious but this can swing wildly either direction. I think people will be looking for an excuse to get out (crazy run up recently even by Tesla standards) or to go all in for an even bigger explosive run up... right now I’m planning to set a BTC order for my $800cc at $55 and just accept it for what it is. Then let my $800csp and $900csp expire

I believe yesterday was a gamma squeeze with OTM calls. MM got phucked in the ass, look at 1/22 60c volume it's over 200k.

So it wasn't even a short squeeze aka it has not really begun yet.

This is pretty much a flashback to Tesla moon mission in 2020.

FOMO will be ATH monday, enjoy the 2021 show.

Anyone else interesting in trying to buy FNMA since they are retaining $25 billion of earnings at this point? IMO they could go fully private in the next couple years... Biggest thing is how long current admin will push foreclosures out AND if they'll amend the government's preferred share dividend they use to swipe all earnings.

Last Tesla run from $735 to $880 was from gamma squeeze.

There was tons of far out calls bought at stupid levels $1200 to $1500.

Lets see what happens.

its not finished for sure.

someone said $100 calls already were written Friday.

if true so going in Monday.

its impossible to know when it will start to rip again.

even if $1-2K expires worthless.

the upside is crazy.

Friday $60C went from open 0.05 to 22$ per contract.

Yup $110 calls are already written at my broker. I am sure a lot of gamblers will slam the highest strike price possible even $120 if it's available. This will be a long event, it might rip right off the bat Monday or next week/month, no one knows for sure.

Gamble at your own risk.

Concept still works though. Just a net cost of $40 between the 2. So basically you can make x12 your money instead of the x50

EDIT: Really, not a bad concept. Not sure how you make sure both legs go through at the correct price when prices are this volatile though. I'd hate for one leg to buy then have the other not go and wind up having a much higher net cost.

EDIT2:

Rough numbers: if shares end up below $35 you lose it all
$36 you make 2.5x your money.
$40 and up you make 12.5x your money.
