Picked up a bottle of Knob Creek twice barreled for $32 at Costco. Usually it’s around $46 for a decent mid level.

Depends on what your budget is. My top 2 on the bottom are Wild Turkey 101, WT 101 Rye and Old Granddad. My go to is Four Roses Single Barrel it's around $42 a bottle.

What are you drunks into these days?

I go through bursts where I'll buy 3 bottles one week, and not buy anything for a month and a half lol.

Joined a Whiskey Club at a local restaurant/bar. $65/month gets me 1 complimentary drink per day, yes per day and you can do that every day of the month. It also gets me a bottle of whiskey each month. This months is Angel's Envy.

My girl got me Octomore 11.1 and Ledaig 21 yo whisky's for Christmas along with Tears of Llarona Tequila which freaking delicious!

Killed my first bottle of scotch despite having a handful for at least a year. Uigeadail was something special though, my first Islay that I really enjoyed.

Picked up my 1st bottle in the Whiskey Club. As previously stated it was Angel's Envy and they gave me 2 glasses. My free drink that day was an Old Fashioned with Wild Turkey 101 Rye and then a pour of Balvenie TUN 1509. That Balvenie was really good.

I just picked up a bottle of WT 101. Can't decide whether I like this or Buffalo Trace more.

Gonna pick up a bottle of Woodford Reserve or Eagle Rare after I finish off this bottle I think, unless one of you *******s can recommend me something better (willing to spend 30ish max)

101 is as solid as they come for around $25. If you like rye try the WT 101 Rye. Old Granddad is surprisingly good as well and it's around WT price range.


Edit...I'm not a fan of Eagle Rare. The last few times I had a pour it was way to sweet on the finish. I gave my bottle to my neighbor.

They have meetups with Covid still? May look into this. Loved the food and atmosphere as well

That EC batch b520 is the truth. I was really enjoying bookers for a while, and with it being much more difficult to find up here, the EC stepped in nicely

Not sure about gatherings at this time. This is my first time to be in the "club" and as far as getting 1 free drink a day and a bottle of whiskey a month, I don't know much about it. You do get first crack at events they'll have there as well. The selection is really solid and you can also do a 1 oz pour of any of the whiskey's for 1/2 the listed price on the menu. Food is good as well and the bartenders are friendly and very helpful. I'll probably be there tonight at the bar for my drink and some dinner.

Currently have Octomore 11.1, Ledaig 21, Glenlivit 15 and Four Roses Single barrel - my personal favorite. If you like Tequila look for Tears of Llarona, unbelievably good.

Man if you ever get the chance, that other one I have C919 blows the doors off B520. It's higher proof but doesn't burn too bad. It's thick, rich amped up vanilla, butterscotch, and a leathery cinnamon that is fantastic.

so i was in Disney last week. they have a knob creek 120 proof barrel select, specific to disney world in orlando. served it at most of the bars/restaurants in disney springs. could not find it for purchase. very very good, albeit not much different from the standard small batch 9 year.

It is ... the F5.5 based off his custom F5. I love it, sold out in 3 minutes and I was lucky enough to get one.

Congrats on the Bugout, I love mine. I got some custom scales for it since the factory ones suck, silver twill carbon fiber with ctek inlays.

One of the reasons I picked the Bugout over the Para3, Terminus XR, Elementum S35VN, and others is because of the endless array of scales available for it. Yours looks fkn sick!

I picked up a bottle of regular Elijah Craig small batch tonight, and wouldn't you know it, the price went up from $27.49 to $31.99 or $34.23 out the door.

Who are those rat bastards at Heaven Hill trying to compete with at that price? Buffalo Trace and Makers are still below $26 here in Central Ohio. At that inflated price I may as well get the 10-year Russell's Reserve white label.

I wonder if Heaven Hill's other big ones jumped in price too? Larceny, Evan Williams, etc?
