I didnt see it (thank god) but apparently some of the boys from work went to this sandwich shop and there was this beastly of a lady sporting a full on beard, standing about 6ft-2 and couldnt have looked more like a dude, except for it's long hair, makeup and wedges ofc.

Essentially the bar would have a roster of lady boys to attract business, and the only way they could leave is if they were paid to. The whole thing is like a racket. The tranny is affiliated with the bar, then the bar is affiliated with the hotel rooms, and then they'd all make money off one thing, kinda genius when you think about it.

I don't think I've met one. And if I did they must have been pretty convincing because I didn't figure it out.
I had a co-worker who met one. He was out with his boys, and he bumped into a female friend of their's and she had the tranny with her. However, apparently this one was pretty convincing overall. My boy said he felt like something was "off" about her but couldn't quite put his finger on it, and it was killing him racking his brain trying to figure it out. They all ended up back at an apartment and one of his boys took the tranny in the bedroom and got some head. While that was going on is when my coworker started comparing notes with the others and they came to the conclusion of it being a tranny. That's when her friend confessed and said not to say anything, and that she had told her tranny friend to stop tricking guys because she's going to get hurt some day. At any rate, the guy who got head came out happy as can be and calling the rest of them losers who didn't get any. After "the girls" left they broke the news to him. LOL
My co-worker pulled up the tranny's ******** page and it looked damn convincing as a cute little lightskinned girl. He assured me the pictures were pretty accurate to real life, and it was something about the way the tranny spoke and mannerisms that felt "off," not the looks.

this is where they give themselves away I met one once and she was overly feminine, super quiet whispery voice and generally trying to act like an 8 year old princess.. I noted something was indeed off (no girl acts like this) and after better focusing on the face I concluded it was a petite dude

Yeah years ago, friend of a friend, we all went drinking together. I think he was more a crossdresser than a trans though, he was extremely clearly a guy in a dress with lipstick on, didn't have particularly effeminate characteristics. Also had a completely average younger female girlfriend. Really minus the outfit he was totally unremarkable.

To answer the OP - yes. A few times. There was the odd time just out in public in Montreal and then had the experience of meeting visiting professors, one of them being trans.
The majority of the men I saw were taller than I was, above 6', and it was glaringly obvious. Neck stubble, longer hair, wearing a dress, hairy legs, no breasts. I'm not gonna lie, it was really strange. This one person looked and presented himself/herself as incredibly awkward and it made the entire situation really uncomfortable.
I saw someone in the subway a few times. Picture a 6'5 man dressed like a goth woman wearing massive high heels making him more like 7'. It was pretty terrifying.
I've never seen any trans individuals that are convincing. That only exists on the internet - or Thailand.
All that to say, I wouldn't go out of my way to demean them. I acknowledged that they came across as really weird but tried to treat them with dignity either way. A lot of people can't get past that initial shock when seeing something out of the norm.

Only ever truly interacted with one at age 19 or so:
Played table football at some heavy metal bar with my buddies. There also was that couple which consisted of a pretty cute girl and her tranny bf/gf and some older tradie-looking brah. It's common courtesy to let everyone play table football once, so we played with those people. Anyways tradie brah was really drunk and aggressively hitting on the girl and grabbing her. So she starts making out with her drag-wearing bf. Tradie brah gets really angry and starts shoving threatening drag dude. Drag guy gets really scared and seems unwilling to fight back. Me and my friends break up the fight. Drag couple leaves without thanking even us, tradie brah has a meltdown over drag couple. Bothering me with drunken lamentations about what just happened. Unable to get rid of the guy I finally go home.
One of the most annoying nights out I ever had.
