I think you could go a few years back from the ‘95 range in all fairness. T2 was ‘91 I think? Alternatively I think if you wanted to do best 10 year split of movies I’d have to argue that 1990-2000 was the best.

I’ve seen all the movies on your list except Schindler’s list and lord of the rings. But in my opinion T2 mogs the rest. I’m a huge terminator fan though and it’s in my top 5 so I would naturally say that.

Lots of good movies in the 80s. But better than 1995-2005? I don’t think so.

The 70s I think are underrated in terms of how loose movies were with ratings. A lot of gritty unfiltered films in that era.

There are just wayyyy too many classics in the 85 - 95 range to even begin listing.
Let's see:

Goonies
Breakfast Club
Back to the Future
Aliens
Big Trouble in Little China
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Predator
Princess Bride
Full Metal Jacket
Robocop
Lethal Weapon
Rain Man
Die Hard
Coming to America
They Live
Batman
My Neighbor Totoro
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
Goodfellas
Home Alone
Total Recall
T2
Silence of the Lambs
Boyz n the Hood
Reservoir Dogs
Unforgiven
Aladdin

vs what you posted.

And this is only up to 1992 just to be conservative, I probably missed a bunch.
