Well if the hedge funds aren't covering their short positions (Melvin Capital is supposedly going bankrupt, even after being bailed out by other Citadel and another company), I'm guessing the only thing limiting the share price would be the amount of people buying in and holding, so theoretically it could reach $1000 or higher..?

so if i understand this whole gamma squeeze thing on GME correctly, if people keep fomoing into GME calls, they're forcing MM's to buy stock to cover... and most of those options are expiring this friday... so we're either looking at an epic cratering to maybe sub-$20 or up to $1000 on friday possibly

I'm still DCA'ing weekly and making some quick bucks off of things like meme stocks on the side but the atmosphere is feeling like a big trap at the moment.

A crash might happen eventually (almost definitely if the Fed turns off the printer), but as for when, no one knows.

But a minor correction is probably likely sooner than later. We're in a volatile market despite the crazy bullishness, and the VIX has stayed above 20 since the crash last year.

My AMC will probably get called away tomorrow since I sold the $7 strikes. Oh well. Depending on what it looks like tomorrow I might just re-up on shares and sell more CC with a higher strike.

I remember meme stocks (most notably TSLA) were mooning late 2019 into February 2020 and then we crashed as expected. I expect more of the same this year.
