brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.

Black contestant always Get voted off the first 1-2 episodes. They always pick a top 3 guy from previous bachelorette season to be the bachelor. Shouldnt have changed the script...

Another problem is that they went fully woke with the women as well. Latinas, Asians and more black chicks. Some of them are still hot but it's not the usual stacked cast of HBB white girls acting slooty.

And only 13% of the viewers of the Bachelor are black, according to Neilsen. So basically unless you get white girls that want to watch a black guy it was stupid to nuke your largest demographic.

This was all foretold.

Way back in the day - like 2016, some podcasters asked Chris Harrison (the host) why there was no black bachelor yet. He said that around 2010-2011, the show came very close to being cancelled due to poor ratings, and they've since built up their audience again and don't want to do anything that might lose them.
Essentially he was acknowledging that market research proved that a black bachelor could only lose viewers, not gain any. No one is sitting at home and saying "I never watched the Bachelor before, but since this Matt guy is on, I'll start watching". Rather, there's a somewhat unacknowledged truth that ABC seems to be forgetting in this new "woke" period:

Black women are hostile to seeing a high-value black man kiss and make out with skinny, attractive white women.It sparks an internal fear and sense of inadequacy and isn't something they're interested in watching.

I'd expect much of that ratings decline comes form losing much of the 13% black viewership.
