Dirty bird is AR15 discounts house brand I believe I have no experience with that brand so can't help with you that, PSA stuff is pretty generic and can't go wrong with them

But seriously don't buy anderson it's awfully machined, painted and just in general low quality ****

Whatever your buying from anderson spend the extra on a legit company

I mistakenly bought a lower from them and I would rather physically throw the hunk of metal at someone as a weapon instead of building it into a rifle

2 Anderson lowers and both have been great to me, years of use and thousand+ rounds with no issues. Bought them in 2018 and they seem just as fine as any other brand.

I was disgusted at splitting a 1200round case of that IMI 5.56 with a friend for like $600 (300 each) a month ago. Now I wish I just would have scooped the whole case smh at these prices brehs.

I’m not buying anymore ammo until I come close to running out with this B.S. Got a little stash to hold me over for a year or two.

Also keep the boog stash on deck that doesn’t get touched.

Bruh I dunno if you’re actually in Scotland but me and the wifey went there 2 years ago. Absolutely amazing. We rented a car and went everywhere. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, stirling, oban, isle of skye, glencoe, culloden battlefield. Fukin everywhere. Then we went to this dope castle hotel way down south. Hands down one of the best trips I’ve been on. The highlands are the real deal.

Gun related - Was in stirling at the William Wallace bridge and this old local guy walked up to us and gave us the legit history lesson. He lives in a house down along the river there and showed us where the real bridge likely was and invited us to his house cuz he had a collection of original muskets from some of the battles that took place. Sadly we were on a tight schedule so couldn’t entertain it but he was fascinating. He even told us where there was a beheading stone in the local park a few blocks away. Def checked that out. Was awesome. Divots out of the stone from the axe strikes from centuries ago. Fooking epic. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Oh also was awesome to learn the history of Scotland. Legit fighting for freedom from British ruling the entire time. They just wanted to be left the hell alone. Lots of similarities between Scotland and the origins of the USA. I never looked into it when I got home but the local guy mentioned that one of the Scottish soldiers who fought for their freedom got captured but escaped and fled to the USA continuing his fight for freedom and ended up signing the Declaration of Independence.

Cliffs - Scotland is awesome.

I disagree. I only buy Anderson LPK and sometimes AERO's when on sale. Anderson LPKs especially the Gen2 ones are very nice, and always within spec as far as fit, and have a nice finish. I've gotten plenty of LPKs from PSA (from build kits), and there's always a part that doesn't fit or a spring that is too stiff, take down pins where the channel looks like it was carved with a metal file by a tweaker on meth.

I also bought no-name LPKs, and truly know what chit parts are. I wouldn't waste the postage on one if it was all I had to pay for it.

As for Anderson Lowers, I use them, and for a budget truck gun, would easily recommend. Personally, pre-pandemic, I'd suggest paying $15 more for an Aero (tension screw and slight flared magwell is worth $15), but as far as functionality, Anderson has never let me down. Yeah, the finish is pretty bad, but then you aren't concerned about throwing it around like a safe queen. They are also what I recommend for someone who wants to rattle can, or DIY cerakote to practice on.

Unless you can really gauge an Anderson to show that it's bad, or have it personally blow-up on use, I'd use them. Of course, what I say is also anecdotal, but I personally have used and built dozens of Anderson lowers without issues.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

I have built out a few Anderson lowers and yeah, finish sucks, but everything went together like it's supposed to. It'll work for sitting in the safe like every other gun. I had to LOL at this local ad I noticed yesterday tho...
Cash preferred but trades or part cash trade welcome. I built an AR-15 for my wife. I used top quality parts. 50 years of experience in building guns. It is a High Quality build not a "BUDGET" build and does not have cheap parts that look like American parts. It has an Anderson Lower with Colt internals. Anderson Upper with Colt internals. Anderson builds upper and lowers for all the top quality manufacturers and puts that companies logo on them. CNC machined from a high strength 7075 T6 aluminum with a Type III black hard-anodized finish, these Anderson-made lowers & uppers provide extraordinary durability and unmatched performance in the field or at the range. This lower is machined to military specifications and standards and is compatible with multiple AR-15 calibers. This is a .223 and Military 556 cal. Upper receiver is Anderson. The upper barrel and forearm I believe is an Areo Precision full length 16" barrel with 15" keymod forearm with a railed upper and rail inserts for lights, lasers and other accessories capable. It is the Aerodynamic forearm not the fat one. It is sporting a free floating barrel with a basket weave flash deflector. The stock is a Magpul MOE top of the line 6 position adjustable stock. I put a Barska 3-9x42 IR Scope on it. 2nd Generation Sniper Scope by Barska is a versatile tactical scope which will perform excellent in a variety of targeting situations. It has had 5 rounds through it so it is new. I just want my investment in parts back. $1,450.00 Been in my safe for 2 years.

I bought an Anderson no forward assist no dust cover upper receiver for a .22lr build and it was just fine. Can’t tell it apart from any other upper besides the obvious (no FA or dust cover).

The always-overpriced stuff hardly anybody wants that uses bullets hardly anybody wants...not really surprising they still have what they need to make it

Besides what kind of METAR buys plain FMJ .45 ACP from a niche manufacturer like underwood
