For those that still lift Vol. 3

"Always Bet on Bloat Edition"

I finally got 365 back in early November and intended on 20lb jumps to get to four plates. I felt confident that it was there, but it ended up being a lot easier than I expected. Probably because I'm getting fat...I'm up 9lbs from November. Maybe I should work on that, too.

Anyway....42 years old, 6', 232bw.

Congrats!

We're about the same age and no way am I ever testing a 1rm on bench again, so it's impressive to see someone still pushing it

Have you ever had any shoulder or pec injuries? Any worry about popping something? I do 15-20 reps these days after too many damn injuries

No shoulder or pec injuries but I had a nasty bout with elbow tendinitis a few years ago that I have to continually manage. I try to listen to my body and train with people more advanced than me for injury's sake. For example, I wanted to add weight after that attempt but my buddy talked me out of it.

Lack of sleep absolutely ruins my training. Are you running a bench program?
