I think I've read that RH, TDA, and E Trade all halted purchases of meme stocks. I think I've seen that Vanguard (lol) and Fidelity are still no restrictions.

So, thinking we should look into a mass exodus into Fidelity. Anyone have any thoughts on them?

GME gap filled and is moving back up. It could literally do another 300% gain if it keeps this retard buying strength going on it. I'm sure some shorts covered at the lower prices as well making it have even stronger buying power. I'ma LMAO if this goes to 400-500... The biggest FU to wallstreet ever.

If anyone here likes gambling and has 5k to drop i would do it in GME. I thought it would keep tanking but it filled the fukking gap and went right back up.

Been using fidelity to sell puts.
They don't require that much collateral.

If u transfer ur account be prepared to not do anything trading on your robinhood or brokerage you use. You basically have r to be inactive for 2 weeks.

Fidelity app sucks compared to robinhood. But its better than others.

I don't do a ton of trading in RH anymore anyway. Might wait until I can close out any short term plays and options I still have in there and transfer the long holds once I have.

It's chit like that that opens people's eyes to the truth. Hopefully redditors will learn from this.

dear god.

this is why you don't mess with options when brokers sites are crashing left and right.

this guy accidentally bought 10K GME calls Feb 05 570 strike

by the time he logged in this morning (RBC site was dead) his account got liquidated

How is he negative on purchased options? The most you can lose is what you already paid for them.

mind boggling how stupid people are in the market, especially with options. I spent hours and hours of research trying to figure out every angle before creating a single contract for a covered call, meanwhile idiots like the guy above are down a quarter million

I assume he accidentally bought 10,000 contracts and probably used margin to buy them.

He used margin.

"I decided to buy 100 OTM (Feb 05 570 strike) calls and put in a market order for them before market opened. I estimated the price to be around $100 at most. It ended up filling for just a bit over at 110. That part was fine. But instead of buying 100 calls, I bought 100 contracts. 10,000 calls. I don't think even I'm retarded enough to forget 1 call contract = 100 calls. I'm thinking it was some kind of glitch in their system. Of course I only slept 6 hours last night, so my brain could possibly have crashed.

For some reason, the order went through and I was down nearly a million in cash. I rushed to sell, but my broker's (Royal Bank of Canada) was down. By the time it was back up, GME had crashed. RBC liquidated all my calls for far below what my buy order filled at and destroyed my account. Then, as we all know, GME rebounded. If they didn't touch any of my positions I would have been fine. Taken a big loss maybe but not negative $300k in cash. The interest charged for negative balances is 21% annually."

edit: Actually wait.

he bought 100 calls (those calls feb 5th 570$ strike) were $110 this morning.

so he bought $1.1 million worth of call options.

right now those contracts are trading at $55 each.

why would broker sell on him? he got margin called on wait down? broker protecting their margin? thinking gme will crash and burn.

In such a rigged game, why would a wage cell even try? Definitely not something to really trifle with in this current atmosphere with this particular stock.

I'll keep robinhoodbfor the occasional spreads I u buy/sell.

Multiple contracts does eat up profits if you pay 65 cents per contract.
