But Nikirk’s lawyer is now appealing both the conviction and the sentence alleging the judge made three legal errors in finding Nikirk guilty of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Cliffs:

-Texting and driving while going x2 speed limit in huge SUV.
-Caught on someone's dash cam while she passed them below a hill single lane traffic going x2 speed limit.
-Almost kills child on the way to school leaving her permanently disabled in need of full time care for the rest of her life.

Yeah our justice system is crap. There was a UFC fighter (Ryan Jimmo?) who was purposely run over and murdered by a guy after an argument and the guy got 8 years.

It was because whatever chithole country runs Gitmo was torturing him there and the Canadians turned the other way. They could have brought him back to Canada right away and tried him there and saved the country 10.5m but they keep bending over to Cuba or whoever it is that still tortured people in 2015.

As someone who had run in with the law before, its amazing they will sometimes try and come down hard on someone who barely broke the law, but at the same time they let serious offenders go repeatedly. Lots of these repeat offenders have public defenders. It almost felt like the criminal courts and justice system are running a racket to keep their pockets filled through government money. Idk.
