My stock market prediction for actualinvestors: another “lost decade”of low market yields interspersed with a couple of dividend recessions.

Welcome to the Biden economy.

After all, what could possible go wrong when the Fed’s primary function shifts from controlling inflation to 1) purchasing as much debt as the Treasury can/will issue to fund massive deficits, and 2) maintaining ahistoric sub-inflation level interest rates?

This situation is about as sub-optimal as it gets. All we need is a price shock to lock us into 70s-era stagnation with high inflation and high unemployment. Biden’s energy sector policies and executive orders risk inducing a price shock that combines mass layoffs in the energy sector with the blast wave from new carbon taxes, globalist anti-hydrocarbon policies, and $6.99 gallon gas.

We could be seriously phucked. Or maybe we’ll just muddle along in a state of slow decline while China builds a global empire and we keep electing presidents who reject America First.

I admittedly don't know a ton about stocks, but from what I read it seems like Reddit found out about this opportunity because the information about big hedge funds that were doing the shorting was public information. Not sure how/where it gets reported, but it seems like if they wanted to prevent this in the future they could just make a rule/law that says that information doesn't have to be available to the public? Then a group like Reddit can't rally together, since they won't know.

But again... I don't know chit about chit.

This. Robinhood wouldn't let me even do chit with American Airlines stock that I had been holding for like 9 months. Cost me a bunch. When it could finally happen I probably got half the profit I would have. Another stock I have they stopped letting people buy, so it of course crashed too. Ridiculous.

Making my money back from this dogecoin stuff though. I made a couple thousand (didn't have a ton to put in) and my brother has legit made close to $30k in about 24 hours.

Seeing all this gives me the feeling of missing out, but in the end I've personally seen more co-workers and friends lose massive amounts than those who have turned profit.

One has made around $300k profit on bitcoin though, he bought early and forgot about it until it hit $19k and he is still sitting on it.

I just sold ammo for 70 CPR (in less than 30 minutes because that's a good price) that I paid 16.5 CPR for 2 years ago

Ah, unclear. He has $300k of it he is sitting on, with an investment of around $100; he now buys $400/month of bitcoin and plans to see where it goes. IIRC he wants 1 million then he will sell. If he loses it, it was money he never expected to have anyways.

I’m not optimistic about the macros right now, but I still say it’s a mistake to not be in the market.

I’m a low-cost index investor. My money is in collective trusts.

I recently checked the balance on a roll-over IRA: $222k. With that one account, my property taxes are paid for the rest of my life even if I live to be 150 years old. Here’s how: my property taxes are about $6600 yearly. If I pull 3.5% a year out ($7770), that’s enough to pay the income taxes on the distribution and pay my property taxes. And here’s the best part: as shown by the Trinity University study, the balance in the account will probably stillgrow.

If you are 100% debt free and own your home free and clear, property taxes may be one of your biggest expenses. The stock market can pay that tax bill for you and you don’t have to lift a finger.

It’s fun to spend money and have cool stuff like a full gun safe, but smart investments can buy you freedom.

$6600 property taxes. Ouch.

Always smart to be in the market long term. We are on the verge of a bubble for sure. It’ll stay propped up as long as we have 0% interest rates and the Fed keeps pumping billions/trillions in to the market.

Once it pops it’ll be another 07-09 situation but you have to buy cheap when that happens and ride it out. This graph pretty much says it all.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I forgot my password after. Tried using their forgot password, the link in their own email goes to an error on their website. Eventually I was able to get it to work though.

I gave my dog one of those. Went to have dinner and let him keep enjoying hinself. Got back home and as soon as I opened the door I got overwhelmed by a chit smell.

Make my way into the living room. No pup around. But I do see 5 dumps and 3 spots where he puked. He was kind enough to only make messes on the area rug. Just rolled it up and brought it to the curb for the garbage truck coming the next day.

Pup was hiding under the dining table and afraid to come out for a bit.
