If this GME thing wasn't happening right now, we would be in the exact same spot as the week before.
I really don't understand why people are saying this is a sign that the market is at the top, if something like this gains an audience in any market you would have massive people piling in to get a slice of the pie. How does that correlate to the market strength/weakness?

Obviously if it blasts way past $20 then they will probably get called away and you'll lose on potential gains. But those premiums are fuarcking juicy.

That does not compute. So since the market leaders like TSLA have all been pumped and bought to oblivion, the last stocks to be bought in these situations are the POS NOKs and GMEs.
Seen it a million times.

The opposite signifies widescale greed and very dumb money being thrown around recklessly which is what the smart money uses as liquidity to finish exiting (aka distribute shares all over their faces).

It's legal, they don't want to be holding the bag when the bottom falls out and all the nerds on margin accounts down -50,000 with 800 in their bank accounts.
The last thing these brokerage houses want is some kid owing them $100,000 from a bad margin buy when their account is worth $3000.
I have dealt with compliance and fraud dept's from brokers for 25 years. What happened yesterday was completely normal. It has happened to stocks I have been in 100s of times over the years. No conspiracy. No screwing over the little guy.
It was brokerage houses protecting their assets, and their clients.
People saying this was some massive conspiracy are just novices who have no idea what they are saying.

THE STOCK MARKET WORLD HAS CHANGED FOREVER DUE TO THIS HISTORIC UNPRECEDENTED TIME.
People need to stop acting like what they used to know still applies.
Youre either absorbing all the knowledge of the earth or you're way behind. There are many ways to still approach the game but most old ways are less effective compared to Discord Day Trading and social arb trading based on social media and stuff like that.
Its weird to think the same platforms gamers have been using like discord and message boards are like, the new Wall Street. And guess what, them old people haven't been gaming and going online enough. They don't even know what discord is. They are at a huge disadvantage and don't even know it.

That was like that EVERY day back then when stocks could go up or down 100s of % points a day. And I don't mean just a few stocks. I mean 1000s of them. For 2 years.

Robinhood IPO is gonna be such a hit lmao.
Retail investors won't forget Robinhhood for this.
I just hope they don't short robinhood, cause citadel / Melvin will be on the other side waiting.
