That does not compute.
So since the market leaders like TSLA have all been pumped and bought to oblivion, the last stocks to be bought in these situations are the POS NOKs and GMEs.

Seen it a million times.
It's been said enough times already, but unlimited QE + zero interest rates + money printing +massive stimulus.

I think the market will have a bigger correction when the economy recovers, ironically enough, as the Fed will have to ease off at some point.

And NOK and GME were more about a short squeeze and even a movement rather than regular bullishness. Hell, the VW short squeeze happened during the financial crisis. The current IPO and SPAC craze are bigger signs of euphoria. Fukin IPOs get run 100-200% by the big boys before they're even available to the public, and retail still FOMOs in.

Buying super far OTM puts on GME doesn't seem like a bad idea once it nears the top. The massive dump and IV spike should be enough to get some good returns, doesn't even need to hit the strike.

I wonder if hedge funds are selling off Tsla because on Elon’s tweet the other day?

Could that be a reason for the drop?

I remember how we were all buying Tulip bulbs in the winter of 1637, just because of FOMO and because all our neighbors were doing it. I bought 2 of them, each costing about 5 times what I earned in a year, because this was new tulip technology that would change the world.

My dad told me not to, that it was just a flower and had no real inherent worth, but what he didn't realize is that things were different now. I wasn't going to listen to some dude born in 1580 ffs.

Unfortunately, it turns out that tulip bulbs were not, in fact, worth 5 years salary.

Here is a decent article on the bubble mania and why all the signs point to a major fall soon.

Does day trading and/or only investing in SPACs eliminate the risk of a correction? Like if I'm monitoring my stocks literally from premarket open to aftermarket close, is there any risk?

Like I said yesterday, I think they killed the momentum. Robinhood limiting how much retail can buy. TD banned zero day weeklies for GME today. The whales who were on the side of the longs likely already took huge profits. The short interest is still high, but how many of them are new ones that started shorting at 500-400? Maybe it'll pick up again AH or next week, but I still think 500+ may have been the top. I'll be happy to be wrong (as long as it doesn't tank the rest of the market too hard).

Best post in this entire thread.

I know this place flooded with noobs, and I'm guilty of a FOMO noob gamble too.. But this is the absolute best statement regarding stocks, homes, and other assets.

Spacs that are way up are risky same as any normal stock. A SPAC is just a vehicle with no business...in other words a shell company. They have financial backing and filings, but no business.

So when a SPAC brings in a company to merge with, like a NKLA for example, it is susceptible to the same risks as any other operating business.

The ONLY SPACS that are really impervious to any risk are the ones with NO operating business and still trading around the $10 mark as every SPAC sits at the $10 level or slightly above until they bring in a M & A.

I am honestly surprised the SEC has not looked into that Elon tweet.

That was very 'iffy' when it comes to stock manipulation. He shouldn't be doing that.

Mentioned this before man, if you're scared of a market correction you can protect your entire portfolio with VIX calls and SPY puts. Hope some of you *******s actually listened.

Also the stock market is just risky in general, a bunch of new *******s in here have only traded in a raging inflated bull market.

I was looking at February VIX calls on Tuesday, but I figured there was no rush and put it off.

Can you expand on this ? how to hedge ? Say I have 50k invested and i anticipate a crash, which puts/calls should I be looking at ? How much would it cost to protect against say 30-50% drop ?
